Overview

Top-rated radio personality Laura Ingraham is fed up with the rule of the elites, and
Power to the People issues a call to arms- a plea to reinvigorate our birthright of liberty, to reconnect to our American heritage, to revive our commitment to traditional, conservative principles, and to grow as people by summoning our moral resolve and living our faith.

Ingraham exposes the threats we face from an emboldened cultural Left, global dogmatists, science worshippers, and politicians who spend more time on their hair than on constituency outreach. She also offers real-world solutions for how we can demand more from our leaders and ourselves. Power to the People will not just rile up Ingraham's millions of fans, it will also incite readers to do their part to protect the country that we love. "It is ours to lose," she writes, "and there are many at home and abroad who are more than willing to take it from us. Let's get to work. If each of us does our part, we can't lose."

And amidst these rallying cries and clarion calls to America, Ingraham reveals with heart wrenching honesty and in poignant detail her battle with cancer and the surprising gifts the insidious illness bestowed upon her - incredible strength through weakness, the meaning of sacrificial concern for others, and most importantly, a new-found and deeper faith.

In true Laura Ingraham spitfire style, Power to the People rallies Americans to grab their pitchforks and storm the castles of the old media, over-reaching judges, openborders politicians, radical academics, and unelected bureaucrats. She challenges people to not only take back the power, but to also give of themselvesto recapture America's spirit and greatness.

    Transparent Reviewers.

What continues to amaze me in this society is the bravery of 'reviewers' sitting in the privacy of their homes and criticizing a book that they clearly never read. Wow - - - you liberals are just too clever!! What a pathetic attempt to persuade individuals not to buy a book based merely on the fact that you happen to disagree with the author's position. What are you scared of?? Laura is incredibly intelligent - - she clerked at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court and her show is hardly ever boring. Having actually read the book, it provides an interesting perspective on how to actively confront many significant issues which are slowly resulting in the decay of our American society. Read it and enjoy.

THE FIGHT FOR TRUE LIBERTY WILL NEVER DIE!!!

First off all anyone who says 'same old same' or 'no good arguments' or 'same right wing nonsense' either has not read this book or is a full time liberal book critic who sits at their computer all day and bashes any conservative book/author.My advice move out of your parents house get a job and pay your taxes!!! How can any red blooded American be opposed to getting invloved with your community,or local politics or protecting our children against external parsites like porn? If you really read this book Laura explains that even if you live in a liberal community and its policies are liberal because majority rules well thats power to the people!! The problem is as she explains is that liberals usually cannot win a vote so they rely on judges to rule in their favor, look I can go on and on but what is wrong with restoring morality and standing up to what we think is wrong and unjust? Answer: Nothing, it is what GOD wants us to do and for a man like me who overcame drug addiction, criminality, incarceration (9 years worth) and manipulation of our legal system (Implemented loopholes from liberal ideas) I can say that I had great identification with the last chapter on religion I was raised Roman-Catholic now I just call myself a Christian but all the same it was through Gods grace and the application of conservative principles that I was able to tranform my life.God bless you Laura God is smiling upon you and thanks for a great book that inspires patriotism, involvment, faith and to rid ourselves of apathy and complacency in order to improve ourselves, our children, our communities and our great country.

    Just another right wing blowhard

I consider my views as moderate and am able to discuss politics, religion, etc and listen to other's points of view without shoving it down someone's throat. I can't say the same for Laura. I am extremely tired of peple who hold up their own lives as models for everyone. I have my own ethics, values, given to me by all of the people in my life who have taken care of me and picked up from those I admire.

    Very, Very Informative

I enjoyed listening to the book. It was so informative from very small things that can be done to make people more aware of the politics everyday to the presidential politics and how politics tie into our everyday life. I enjoyed listening to Laura talk about her mother with great love and compassion and her own battle with cancer. She is a hero in my eyes.

    A real letdown

I expected much better from this usually thoughtful and insightful wimple. But, alas, no such luck. It's really just warmed over mush.

For Readers With Short Attention Spans

I went into this open-minded, but I read a lot of books and this one was a disappointment. It caters to the same 7th grade mentality that has ruined this country with its short attention span. Too preachy. Save your money, think things through yourself.

    Let's get to work. America!

This book was a wonderful read. I actually purchased this one so that I can study it and review it again whenever I want to. For a long time I've been feeling that little ol' me couldn't make much of a difference because I'm never in front of a tv camera, behind a radio talk show microphone or even someone who gets polled. This book gave me some new ideas and fired me up to take on some of the local, state, and national issues that have been bugging me of late. I now have a vision and some goals to accomplish in these areas. Thanks, Laura, for your inspired work here! Keep 'em coming, PLEASE!!!

    Ingraham living the feminist dream

The book wanders around aimlessly without measured arguments. Am I the only one getting rather bored of 'conservatives' like Coulter and Ingraham talking a good game about the importance of traditional values and marriage but yet living the life of an ambition-crazed, career-driven 40 something unmarried and childless feminist? I suspect the conservative movement is having an identity crisis. More books like these make me continue to vote the other way.

    Yeah! That's What I Mean!!

This book was good for me and for my children. America is slowly being corrupted and defiled in baby steps due to some insane definition of freedom. If we the people stand together, maybe we can take a giant step back and recover some of the decency we have forgotten.

Laura has more intelligence and courage than any politician in America today!

After reading 'Power to the People,' I was angry at the weak-kneed so-called leaders of both political parties, but relieved that she continues to sound the alarm on behalf of so many of us across the country.

    a lot of hot air

This has to be one of the worst books I have read. WAY to much preaching and pushing her own moral standard on to the reader to the point of blaming the problems of the world on those who do not share her views. NOT A GOOD BOOK.
