Clearly written, insightful and engaging. A must-have reference for your studio!

Ms. Gill has taken an outstanding approach in providing 'Tools' for the artist to use when creating landscapes, albeit many of these tools are equally useful for any other genre as well.

Each tool is presented with just the right amount of information to be useful and easily applied at once. Examples are clear, with captions and descriptions that often expand on the content.

Additionally, the exercises sprinkled throughout the book capture the essence of the appropriate tool extremely well, leading the artist to master the concept or skill with an easily manageable task set.

Readers will, I believe, approach their landscapes with a focus, confidence and an excitement that will be captured in their paintings and elevate them to new heights.
