Meet the Author

GORDON WITTEVEEN started the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association in 1965 and served as its first secretary. A past recipient of Golf Course Management magazine's Leo Feser Award, he started The Green Masters magazine and served as its editor for five years, and continues to write regularly for several magazines.

MICHAEL BAVIER has been superintendent at the Inverness Golf Club in Palatine, Illinois, for the past thirty-five years. During his career, he served as president of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He is a frequent speaker on the Turf Conference Tour, both in North America and overseas, often presenting with Gordon Witteveen "The Magic of Greenkeeping" seminar to wide-ranging audiences.
