Play Texas H more than i should

I read the book. I spent the money for it. I now i'm mad that I bought it. It was childish. I can't believe someone with that low of an I.Q. had access to writing materials.Seriously, the author sounds like they just got off of a 'Little yellow bus.' I would definitely NOT recommend this book.

    Good book-not for professionals though.

I bought this book after reading the reviews on B & N and overall it is a good book. I don't play professionally nor hang out at clubs where everyone says that everything I do is 'childish' etc (as the previous reviewer seems to think unless he was a rival author). The book covers what it states it should-it shows how to calculate one's winning percentages REALISTICALLY and gives sample hands from sample sessions.

Surprisingly good refresher on how to play low limit

The book contains examples of a playing session and how to calculate if one is profitable or not. It had some good ideas in it.

Good problems to help plug one's game leaks!

The book is a straight forward review of low limit Hold'em poker. The book deals with casino or card club Texas Hold'em and does not have anything to do with the internet since at the time of this writing, there is a good chance that in the United States internet poker may be going away. The book is definitely in need of some better editing but the bottom line is that author knows what he is talking about. His ideas for review are great and the problems he has the reader work out are perfect. The book also shows how to calculate one's profitability and has a website link. I definitely won back more than the cost of the book with a few suggestions from this book. Recommended.

Good review book for people who play Hold'Em.

Good book that does what the author states. The book reviews basic ideas and does not get into starting hands. Book covers a sample session and covers how to calculate winning session predictions. I play a lot of poker and the book helped me stay on track as a winning player!
