Good overview of some nice techniques

I like this book, especially, the pictures are good, and the author's notes on how to train real soldiers is good. Most of the unarmed techniques seem useful to me (I have 3 belts in various martial arts, and do 'krav maga' - Israeli military martial arts). I really like 2 of the unarmed techniques, and feel they are useful. The only problem I have is with the knife take-downs. They seem unrealistic. No attacker is going to extend his knife hand, let you parry, and then leave that attack hand out, and then play 'rag doll' and let you judo him to the ground. It just does not work that way. I also did not hear the author mention that they ever used these techniques in real combat (I assume that Green Berets just shoot the guy before he gets anywhere near him). The Israeli krav manual 'How to Defend Against Armed Assault' is better, as is the book 'Take Em Down, Put Em Out' - Knife Fighting Techniques from Folsom Prison. All in all, a good book with 2 really good unarmed techniques, and the 'psychological' training stuff in the book is really good, the kicks are good, etc. But I have real doubts about those knife take-downs.
