    Highly recommend

Beautiful photos and very interesting and informative text. I like her treatment of the sky/clouds as well as the flowers and grasses. I would recommend Pamela's book both for it's photographs and it's past and present facts about prairies of the mid-west - especially Illinois. I have purchased several framed enlargements of her photos from this book which I have hanging in my home.

What a gifted photographer and teacher!

Wow! Exquisite photography! Now I can't wait for Spring to take those long Spring walks along our many Missouri nature trails, enjoying the beauty in a whole new light. She is both a gifted photographer and teacher! This would make a great gift to anyone!

Must haves for all lovers of nature, flowers, and our environment. Definitive for the Midwestern and American prairie. Obviously works of love for this very professional photographer. The images are of the highest visual impact and quality and the text well researched and very informative. A great combination. To be savored, revisited and enjoyed. Highly recommended.

    Great book

Can't wait for springtime so I can explore a prairie near my home. I've changed my mind that fields are only weeds. The information is helpful, but the pictures have me hooked.
