Bill Kurtis has been in television for over thirty years, on WBBM-TV Chicago, CBS and A&E. Currently, through Kurtis Productions, Ltd, Bill has become one of the country's foremost producers of documentaries for television. In 2005 Bill founded the Tallgrass Beef company. He lives in Chicago.

The Prairie Table Cookbook is a wonderful find! This book is more than a cookbook-- it is an adventure. From food history, to recipes and then the wonderful photos...this book has something for everyone. Bill Kurtis is a great television host and his essays on his ranch and grass fed beef are really engaging. I never expected that there was so much to learn. This book is a must have if you like history, food and great pictures.
