Overview

Star football player, Jack Miller, had it all. The perfect family, looks, girls hanging on his every word, and the respect of most people in his town. But one thing was missing--a man to be his own.

When Andrew Collins showed up in small town, conservative Sweet, Georgia, he looked more scrawny mutt than high school senior. Andrew's plan was to keep his head down and graduate high school, leaving his family behind to start his real life.

When he meets Andrew, Jack thinks he's found heaven, but reality holds him in check until one night when his lips gently slide across Andrew's and fireworks go off.

As lust and something a little deeper brings them together, compelling them to take chances, people start to notice. Then the unthinkable happens, and Jack's parents find out he likes guys. The battle lines are drawn and they vow to pray the gay away.

I was compensated with a FREE copy of Pray The Gay Away! I was a little nervous going into reading it as I have never read a book based around a M/M pairing before. I was not sure whether I was going to be able to really get into the book or not, but once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. It was almost as if the pages turned themselves I finished it in just a few hours. To watch the struggle that Jack goes though being a pastor's son and being gay is heartbreaking to read. How he can remain so strong for himself and Andrew just amazes me. And poor Andrew who has a harder time then Jack still shows amazing strength. Then we can't forget little Billy. My heart breaks for that little boy! All through out the book I just wanted to pull all three of them into a hug and hide them from the world. This book was amazing written. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating instead of five is because it felt a little rushed to me and lacked a little bit of depth that I feel like it needed. Still an amazing book that I would recommend.

A lot of whining about not being able to be together and seems like the they are younger with all the issues they seem to be having. Worrying about kissing and not being fully out the closet.

Seemed to follow a more girlish story as the passing of note and corny one lines fit a girl story line better. Also the I will miss you until tomorrow felt the same more geared towards girlish storyline. Would have been more believable if it was a 12 year old girl story.
