    All Our Prayers Are Answered

This humble story with simple steps for spiritual awakening is a gem of a spiritual parable, told from the perspective of a man who feels cursed, as he handles finding ways to support his two young children after a series of setbacks. The simplicity of plot and characters gives this parable room for the reader to better sense and feel the depth of its spiritual concepts, without ever deteriorating into schmaltz.

The plot of The Prayer Chest centers around a young man and his small children, as they discover an amazing secret and some deceptively easy steps involved in having prayers answered. The secrets are revealed in the text of an old journal, written by one of the man's ancestors.... and as each important step of prayer is revealed with a sense of breathless wonder and reverence, the story demonstrates by example why and how some prayers are answered, while others are not.

A reader's guide in the last chapter of "The Prayer Chest" describes how every prayer is always answered... either with the answer to the prayer, or what stands in the way of the prayer being answered. Recognizing how to deal with these responses is extremely important for everyone, so "The Prayer Chest" is highly recommend to everyone on any kind of spiritual path, and an inspirational gift for someone who 'has everything.'
