Prayer: The Key to Salvation

CCC 2744: "Prayer is a vital necessity... 'Those who pray are certainly saved; those who do not pray are certainly damned,' says St. Alphonsus Liguori."

;Amen, amen I say to you: if you ask the father anything in my name, he will give it to you…Ask, and you shall receive; that your joy may be full.;

—John 16:23-24

There is no saint who did not pray. Throughout Scripture, Jesus constantly exhorts his disciples to pray. We too, must pray if we want to obtain salvation and become saints.

In Prayer: The Key to Salvation, Fr. Michael Müller shows that prayer is the way that God, in His Providence, has ordained as the ordinary means to reach heaven.

Drawing on Scripture, the lives of the saints, miracles, and many other revelations, this short but powerful book will help you to pray and gain eternal salvation.

"I am certain of it that Our Lord will eventually bring to the harbor of salvation he who gives himself to prayer."—St. Teresa of Avila

With chapters on the necessity of prayer, the efficacy of prayer, the power of prayer, and the practice and methods of prayer, Fr. Müller will give you a clear and helpful insight on how to pray for your own salvation and the salvation of others. He will also explain that failing to pray gravely jeopardizes our souls.

"He who neglects mental prayer needs not a devil to carry him to hell, but he brings himself there with his own hands."—St. Teresa of Avila

This is a book that every Catholic should read; the importance of prayer and its relationship to our salvation makes this book an invaluable resource. You will read not once, but many times, and turn back to it whenever you are in need of encouragement in your prayer life. Through frequent meditation on the lessons in this book, take up the sweet yoke of prayer, and your path to sainthood will be made easy and light.
