The author has spent the last 10 years of his life as the director of a youth ministry in Buffalo, New York. The "hood" is a place where you may get your heart broken at least once a week. Bob is the founder of Youth With A Purpose Inc. which is based in one of the poorest most violent cities in America. He wrote the Mission Statement of YWAP: "All children are gifted. We exist to identify, nurture, protect and empower young people to become the world changers that God meant them to be." Bob has learned about prayer through hands on opportunities among young people and their families who are desperate to know about unconditional love. Gang members will shoot each other but they still ask for prayer. Some die young and some slowly change through prayer. We need to teach young people about simple prayer
