A Review by Janet T. Russo Of Prayers for the Twelve Steps ¿ A Spiritual Journey Written and Compiled by Bill Pittman Do you think of prayer as an exercise in memorization and recitation? Until reading Prayers for the Twelve Steps ¿ A spiritual Journey I never realized the true power of talking with God. Reading the prayers contained in this collection allows the reader to become comfortable with the idea of carrying on a conversation with God. In addition to prayers for the twelve steps toward spiritual wholeness based on the famous Twelve Step Program began by Alcoholics Anonymous, the prayers contained in this book are for anyone looking for a better and more fulfilling way to pray. The book is broken down into extremely useful heading such as ¿Thanksgiving¿, ¿Complaint¿, ¿Declaration¿, etc. I found this to be very helpful when I was having trouble starting my conversations and sticking to the point of my prayers. As well as being helpful to me in my own spiritual journey, the prayers and messages in this book have helped me to look at prayer itself in a whole new and wonderful light. What used to be just words are now ¿chats with God¿ and I rediscover an inner peace and contentment each time I pray. Thank you, Bill Pittman, for compiling these prayers and for teaching an old pray-er a new and more rewarding way to pray. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
