    Wonderful resource

I received this as a baby shower gift, and I am so glad I did.

Jennifer Polimino's journals at the beginning of every chapter tell the story of her own pregnancy, and so many of the things she says I can relate to.

Each chapter corresponds to one week of pregnancy and tells what part of the baby is developing that week. Then it goes a step beyond by relating spiritually. For example, in chapter 26 it talks about the baby's eyes opening for the first time. I didn't know babies opened their eyes before they were born. Then it talks about spiritual eyesight and how the Scriptures says "open the eyes of my heart."

Each chapter ends with a prayer you can pray for your baby. I found these to be helpful for my own prayers and they gave me more insight on what I could pray for, for my baby.

At the end of each chapter are questions with a place to journal your own thoughts. I plan to share these with my son when he is older so he can see how much I loved him even before he was born.

My favorite part of the book are the birth stories. Learning how other women brought faith and prayer into the delivery room with them has inspired me to do the same. I know I will have a better experience because of this!

There are a lot of baby books out there, but this one is unique and I'm glad to add it to my collection.
