The book kept me entrenched in it the whole way through. I was very excited to see a hard cover version of this glorious book. Back in the mid to late 90's, Preacher was my first experience with Garth Ennis and I have tried to follow him ever since. Preacher was the first graphic novel that I read that was actually graphic. It was the kind of violence, language, and sexuality that I only ever saw in movies. It was as I saw it, "Finally a comic for an older demographic!" If I had to find something wrong with the writing, I would say the characters that were supposed to be Deep South characters used a bit too much European English slang. Even this I did not mind all that much, it just stood out is all.

Deep, dark, disturbing, and brilliant. A wild ride from start to finish.

I heard about the show. The first volume was weird but kind of interesting.

Funny, violent, disturbing and dramatic (sometimes all at once) Preacher is one of the greatest comics ever made
