    Freaky, Heartbreaking

Dive into the past of "Preacher"s title character and see what shaped Jesse Custer into the man he is. Screwed up? Oh yes. A fine read? Most definitely.

    The Genius of Ennis

Incredible!!! Comics just aint for kids anymore. Not by a long shot. This, the second book of the series, is my personal favorite, but the entire story is like takin a trip through hell and somehow coming back with clean knickers. Want that thousand-yard-stare that comes with a lifetime of hardships? Just read the Preacher and take a couple of notes from Jesse Custer.

better than going to the movies...

This is definately one of the best. Everything about this rocks! The stories are well thought out and witty. The grotesque and the perverted shine to their potentials and forces the reader to step into the abject world of chaos and hypocrisy. I love the stern storytelling. It makes the word 'comic book' trancend into a whole new dimension. Granted this will offend many. That is the whole gist of Garth Ennis' style. Shock, outrage, and laughter are all embedded into this masterpiece of a work.
