The author is known for his clear writing style and the numerous quality exercises and applications he includes in his respected texts. In this new edition, graphs, visualization of data, and functions are now introduced much earlier and receive greater emphasis. Many sections now contain more examples and exercises involving applications and real-life data. While this edition takes the existence of the graphing calculator for granted, the material is arranged so that one can teach the course with as much or as little graphing utility work as he/she wishes.

    FANTASTIC BOOK

    This book can help any student who say they are no good in math. This book gives great examples and it shows how to do the problems very easily. The cd rom that comes with the book is a great essential to the book and helps even more for students who are hands on learners.

    Best Way To Prepare For Calculus!

    I like going over math textbooks, and this is by far the best precalculus textbook I've ever seen. It prepares you for calculus... and that's the whole purpose of a precalculus textbook. This is a rigorous textbook, that serious math students should take a look at.
