Overview

Without a job, Mars Cannon becomes prey to Mrs. Janowski’s newest project. Predator Patrol. Along with four feisty seniors, Mars searches for internet predators. Hoping she doesn’t run across any, she becomes friends with a young boy who crushes her in every internet game they play. However, as their friendship grows, so does a dangerous problem. Is he really who he says he is?

With no money and no job prospects, Mars finds herself at the door of The Road Hog Bar. The surly owner has no time for her and finds her completely unsuitable for the bartending position at his biker bar. Mars, unfortunately, is desperate. She’ll fight for the job even if it means having to stop bar brawls; a skill she has yet to learn.

And where are Brett and Evan? Mars has yet to hear from either of them. The combination of no money, no job, and no man can be brutal enough . . . add a predator, and it’s deadly.

    Highly Recommended

This is the second in this series. It can be read independent of the first book. I love the flow of the book. The book flows. the author writes with ease...there was never a boring moment in the novel. Can't wait for the next novel.

    167 pages

This book was the third installment. It cost $2.99. It had a bit better editing and was only 167 pages. While still interesting, there was many questions left unanswered in this book. The biggest question is what Aaron was doing in this book. I know he was an orphan, involved somehow in a child sex trafficking ring, a computer whiz and only eleven years old. The plot was based to a big extent on him, but there are so many empty holes, it was confusing. There is cursing, sex, violence, an unexplained letter, Brett was almost absent and so many things were left open, just like the conclusion. I hate paying for cliff hangers. I still liked the humor in this book. I was led to believe this book was the last of this mini series, but now I wonder if there will be more. For ages 16 and up. This book left me frustrated. I doubt I buy more if this series is continued. I also read all five of the poker player series. They too, were unconcluded.

    Hilarious

Mars Cannon keeps getting herself into the most outrageously dangerous situations in this hilarious follow up to Deadly Dancing. Once again it was so strange how there's so much danger but everyone is so nonchalant about it. I was so confused with Aaron's role in the whole trafficking ring thing. He kept saying he escaped but it wasn't made clear from where and no it wasn't the foster group home, that came afterwards. It was all very confusing.

Two good things about this book: 1) Mars relationship with Evan progresses very nicely and 2) There are significantly less grammatical errors in this book than there were in the first one. Makes for a much better read...

I'm wondering if Ms. Pierce is going to add another book to this series?

Mars has been in a bit of a slump and is flat broke. In order to pass her time, she has let her quirky old neighbor talk her into working with her and several senior citizens in search of internet predators. Mars’s stubbornness has her chasing internet predators as well as trying her hand at being a bartender at a biker bar.

This book was very entertaining and was a quick read (about 176 pages). Yes, this book was $2.99, but the first one was over 400 pages and I felt justified in the purchase. This a great series. The love interest issues were rather predictable but the plot was not. It was refreshing to be surprised when reading this type of book.

    Another MARS CANNON NOVEL!!!

I love the main character she is spunky and I just like her attitude.
This author is wonderful, but read the previous book. Well, only if you want to, but I recommend all her books!
