Overview

Solitary shifters meet by chance. ..

Blackmailed into acting as her family’s assassin, shape-shifting Anna corners O’Riley, her prey, but is shocked to realize the farmer standing over him is another of her kind: a rare Varelse, a tigerlike creature bred to kill.

Anna’s drawn to Isak, who hasn’t shifted for years but who sees Anna struggle with her dual nature. Sometimes cultured lady, sometimes bloodthirsty beast, Anna begs for help. Isak agrees -- if she’ll spare O’Riley’s life. In their sensual lessons, he awakens his own dark animal -- and unleashes her feral passion.

But there’s a hitch -- Patrick O’Riley, the charming blackguard she hunts, desires her too. What’s more, he also wants Isak. The once solitary farmer finds his imagination fired by thoughts of the three of them together.

Over their heads hangs the specter of Anna’s corrupt uncle, who ordered O'Riley's death. Knowing they must confront him and learn the truth, Anna, Isak, and Patrick embark on a journey that pushes the boundaries of their turbulent relationship. With their lives on the line, the three surrender to the lust that entwines them with danger and desire.

Editorial Reviews

guiltypleasuresbookreviews - Charnel ..
I like that [Predator's Passion] is not your average ménage, the men don’t already know each other and so they aren’t on the hunt for a third...The confrontation with Ann’s family is EXPLOSIVE, truths and secrets are revealed and the ending is nothing I anticipated....
Long and Short Reviews - Judy Marianne
....the unique paranormal element of the Varelse, antagonistic conflict, and sexual tension made this story amusing and fascinating. Anyone who likes an unusual twist on paranormal erotic novels will find this story entertaining.

Meet the Author

Summer Devon is the alter ego of Kate Rothwell. Kate invented Summer’s name in the middle of a nasty blizzard At the time she was talking to her sister, who longed to visit some friends in Devon, England—so the name Summer Devon is all about desire. Kate/Summer lives in Connecticut, USA, and also writes books, usually gaslight historicals, as Kate.

Linda Gayle is the wild soul and pseudonym of a mild mannered English major who loves exploring strange new worlds and fascinating characters. A pacifist vegetarian, she nevertheless loves reading (and writing) intense, blood-and-guts filled action stories spiced with love, sex, and romance—the stuff of fantasy and nightmare combined. She lives in New England with her husband, two children and many, many pets.

A lot is going on in this one

It was an enjoyable read. But it took me awhile to grasp the characters, their motivations and such.
