Oh how I love Bear Shifter stories, especially from Rosanna Leo!! Predator's Kiss, Book 1 in the Gemini Island Shifters Series, was where I fell in love with them for the first time and Rosanna did it again with Predator's Serenade. Much to my pleasant surprise, I loved the second book in the series as much or even a bit more. I say to my pleasant surprise because we met Soren - the hero in Book 2 - in Book 1 and I really did not like him. When I read that Rosanna had him as the hero for the second book, I was a little sad and afraid that Serenade was going to be a big letdown after loving Ryland and Kiss so much. I am SO HAPPY to report that my fears were unfounded!
Soren shows up on Gemini Island after Ryland asks hum to help deal with a young sifter named Gunner who is having some transitional issues. Prior to this, Soren has distanced himself from Shifter society, instead jet-setting as a playboy drummer. Once he meets Gunner's mom Gioio though, he has an amazing change of heart. The plot line is heart-rending and intriguing with several ups and downs and surprises along the way. Long before the midpoint of the story, Soren won me over, leaving me rooting for Gioio and Soren and a definite happy ending.
I loved this book. It was a quick and easy read, one I am sure Paranormal and Shifter lovers will enjoy. Rosanna really wrote this book well. It can be read as a stand-alone story however I really recommend reading Predator’s Kiss first, giving you a more complete picture of Soren and learn more about Gemini Island and the Ursa Lodge.

The second book in the Gemini Shifters is a very entertaining read full of suspense, action, emotional angst, wonderful characters romance and red hot sex.
Soren returns to the shifter island as a favor to help out a young shifter with severe emotional problems, and he’s not real happy about it. He doesn’t have anything in common with moms and little people. Gioia has run out of options and hopes that Ryland’s mentoring program on the island can help her son. She’s not too happy about Ryland calling his brother in to help because she’s worried about what kind of influence he would be. Imagine both of their surprises when the instant attraction between them is hot enough to burn. The romance builds throughout the story as each tries to fight it. And when the couple does give in to the chemistry between them the sex scenes are scorching hot.
The emotional ups and downs in this story is very intriguing and the reader finds themselves caught up in Gunner, Gioia’s son’s problems as Soren reaches out to help him through the turmoil the boy’s life has become. Then the situation becomes even more complicated as Gioia is betrayed by family. The action and suspense in the story build to an exciting end and the ultimate in HEA’s.
The author’s setting for this paranormal series continues to be an excellent one and the characters are bewitching and continue to draw the reader further into their world. There were a few unexpected twists in the book and a couple of surprising and unique problems for our hero and heroine that add extra depth to this story. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
