David Broussard is a handsome, successful businessman with the unsavory reputation of a player. He’s known for his allure, charming personality, and ability to draw and seduce women. He’s gifted by nature with an unbelievably erotic scent that emanates from his body—natural pheromones that attract women in droves. Having used this advantage in the past with great success, he expects the same results as he sets his sights on Sarona Maxwell. He finds himself fascinated to the point of obsession with Sarona and has made it his priority to woo her, to seduce her, and to get her into his bed. However, in his quest to captivate and capture, he finds Sarona is more woman than he’s bargained for, and he’ll need more than cunning, charm, and nature’s gift to achieve his goal.
Sarona is undeniably attracted to the charisma and roguish good looks of David Broussard, and like any red-blooded female alive she’s fallen victim to his intoxicating scent. Unfortunately, his reputation for being on the prowl and always in search of his next conquest precedes him. She has no illusions he has any interest in her. Considering her size and the fact that she’s black, she’s sure she doesn’t fit his usual preference for eye candy. She sees herself as merely a spectator, observing from a distance his penchant to hunt, and she watches him play his game of pursuit, seduction, and surrender.
Sarona has no idea that the rules of the game have changed. She doesn’t realize that there’s no such thing as being safe standing on the sidelines and that now, suddenly she’s become the prey set in the sights of the hunter.
Sensuality Level: Hot
Lotchie Burton has finally reached her own “coming of age” moment in time, a time when age doesn’t matter. Prelude to a Seduction is her first novel.

I totally enjoyed the book. It was an easy read and it held my
attention. The characters were very sexy and intriguing. The book was
tastefully written while being sexy and sensual at the same time.

David Broussard has crossed paths with Sarona Maxwell at professional
events for almost a year and has tried to work his way into her good
graces. It hasn't happened. She's too aware of his reputation as a
player, a man who quickly picks up one blonde, deep-as-Saran-wrap,
model-thin woman after another and lets them down just as fast. Black,
voluptuous and too smart to fall for his lines, Sarona has fended him
off. But this time, David intends to win. He mounts a campaign as
carefully as any skilled general to convince her he wants something
different with her. Neither Sarona nor his reputation will make it easy
for him to get what he's been fantasizing about. Burton knows how to
raise--and maintain--the sexual tension of her story as she makes
traveling to conferences for work a lot more interesting than most of us
have experienced. "Prelude to a Seduction" delivers exactly
what the title describes--a delicious, sexy, sensuous, build-up to a hot
seduction. I was provided an advance reader's copy of this book and
have written this review as a curtesy to the author for no compensation.

This book has Interesting characters with personality, romance and the kind of sex you wish you were having!
Although "Prelude" was written by a woman, she seems to have the gift of understanding how men think and realistically portrays the male characters, which was surprising. So, in that regard, this book has good crossover appeal to men as well. The story is a lot of fun, especially once the chase is on!

Anticipation. Lotchie Burton builds the sexual tension in Prelude to a Seduction from the very first sentence. I love that sexy ‘player’ David Broussard is the one that denies himself, delaying his own gratification until he reaches his ultimate goal of seducing Sarona Maxwell. That doesn’t mean that we don’t get a peek into his every fantasy along the way. David is an experienced man and his thoughts about Sarona are detailed and anything but pure.
Sarona is worth the wait. A fundamentally shy person, she nevertheless stands up to the people who try to trample her underfoot. She also has to face her own prejudices about David – a white man who prefers skinny white women; a playboy who is only interested in a shallow, brief relationships. When the seduction of her body is finished, she’ll have to decide whether to risk her heart.
Keep the ice water handy – this is a super hot erotic romance!

This book captivated me throughout my five hour flight! It contains the perfect balance of story and love making. The tasteful writing strategy didn't leave me ashamed for the passenger next to me to catch a glimpse of what I was reading (o: After being left disappointed by the last three books I had read by my previously favorite erotica author - this book was a refreshing addition to my library. I think I've found a new favorite author!!! I've been recommending it to all my friends. I hope this is just the first of many for Ms. Burton!!

Prelude to a Seduction, I hope is just the beginning for Lotchie Burton. This book had me hooked from start to finish. I could not get enough of how hard David Broussard, a wealthy white playboy, obsessed over an unsuspecting black full-bodied Sarona Maxwell for about a year while denying himself any physical pleasure, saving himself just for her. On a mission to obtain Sarona’s body, David finds his true self and realizes he wants more___ all of her ___ mind, body, and soul. He struggles to combat his bad boy persona, by trying unsuccessfully to avoid an old flame, and by contradicting every preconceived opinion Sarona has of him. Eventually, he wins and has Sarona wanting more and more and more…….. And leaving me wanting to know more about the future of these two. This book left me with a brand new prospective on bathroom countertops…………. HOT! I can’t wait for the sequel!

Prelude to a Seduction is the perfect name for this book because what a seduction it is! A hot and very sensual read with thorough and descriptive love scenes that will make you blush. Our hero, sexy playboy David Broussard relentlessly pursues and never gave up till he gets the strong-minded Sarona Maxwell to even speak to him. It's quick, realistic and true-to-life funny. With a white hero and black heroine, you'll realize color and race have nothing to do with love or making love!

Author Lotchie Burton sweeps the reader away in her hot romance Prelude to Seduction. David is a hero who really knows how to pamper a woman. Besides the scorching love scenes between the two protagonists (which are amazing!), my favorite parts of the book were David doting on Sarona with impromptu personal spa treatments, imported lingerie, luxurious dinners out—he definitely stole this reader’s heart.
