I was disappointed in this book. The instructions in the book take you through the menus and the obvious things that any computer user knows, but it doesn't really describe the process of DV capture, editing, and export. The book refers to earlier versions of Premiere and mechanical editing methods, but doesn't explain them. Here's a sample gem: 'To delete a clip: 1. Select a clip. 2. Press Delete.' Pg. 35. I'm not sure who the target audience is for this book. It is marked 'Intermediate', but the simplistic instructions would make Intermediate users cringe. On the other hand, the author introduces terms and methods without explaining them, which would confound the novice reader. The one redeeming quality, which accounts for the second star--the chapter on mixing audio answered some of my questions
