The next compares various aspects of the presidency, for example, two kinds of sometimes frictional constitutional presidencies, one prescribed in the Constitution and one by Woodrow Wilson. Subsequent articles discuss the presidential selection process, including, among other things, the nomination process, and how different kinds of candidates are favored by different processes. In a section on politics, subjects dealt with include the presidency in relation to media, interest groups, and political parties. Finally, articles on presidents and government contextualize the nation's highest office, analyzing, say, how divided government affects appointments to the Supreme Court.
