    Engaging and insightful. This is an eye-opening book about the obstacles faced by female faculty of color teaching in predominantly white universities. It describes in intimate detail the chilly campus climate faced by highly credentialed and accomplished female faculty from traditionaly underrepresented groups. The narratives are powerful and moving. But the book does more than simply describe the problems. It concludes with a detailed list of solutions. This book should be required reading for university presidents, provosts, and deans.
