He wanted to be her boyfriend...
He'll settle for being her twin sister!

When his school bus crashes, teenage karate star Rando is sent into a coma. A year later he wakes up to find that his disfigured face has been reconstructed in the image of the girl he has a crush on! Not knowing what Rando originally looked like, the mad plastic surgeon Dr. Manabe used a photo in Rando's pocket as the model for his reconstructive surgery. Abandoned by his friends and parents, the all-new Rando is mistaken for his would-be girlfriend's long-lost twin sister and adopted into her family. Can he put aside his feelings and be a good "big sister" to Rina...when he's still a teenage boy from the waist down?

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly

Here's a tightly written, cute little shojo manga with promising dramatic undertones. Rando, the high school bully, awakens from an accident-induced coma with the face of Rina, the girl he loves-the plastic surgeon assumed the photo in Rando's pocket was of Rando. Rina's family assumes Rando is Rina's long-lost twin, Yuma. Still besotted, Rando takes up life with his new family as his beloved's best friend and sister. Rando bumbles through the required school physical and uses flirting to attempt to control the karate club, while sweet, shy Rina slowly teaches the former bully to be a good person. Dr. Manabe, Rando's licentious plastic surgeon ("say the word, and I'll give you a sex change!"), is a total hoot. The art is standard manga, a little cluttered, but it creates strong characters. The story plays for coy laughs and social complexity-Rando must learn to sit with his legs crossed in his school uniform-rather than sex and angst. The result is a story that treads the line between funny and outré: when Dr. Manabe superglues fake breasts on Rando, the effect is hilarious and winsome without ever being cheap. A scene where a slimy teacher attempts to force Yuma/Rando into a sex act definitely makes this for older teens. (Aug.)

    Good series

I enjoyed the series and couldn't stop laughing. Plus, it's only 6 volumes and something you can read during a weekend. If you enjoy a story of girl or boy cross dressing, I would highly recommend reading this series.

    My new Fave!

I highly recommend this series, everything about it is just totaly awesome. I picked up volume 1 while waiting for my car to be worked on and couldn't put it down. This series just grabs onto you and doesn't let go. I'm glad that it's only 6 volumes, missing more than a weekend of studying is costly at college! Even if it did go on longer it would have been worth it.

The suspense that is contained in this series will keep any reader begging for more. The "bad to worst" scinario does kind of get old after a while, but it doesn't drag on like other mangas that i have read. Looking back, it seems like every chapter has a definate end and a new story is close to follow.

I'm kind of sad that there isn't an anime yet, but hopefully it will come out in my lifetime. Either way, this is a great romantic commedy, buy it!

I love comedy, but this also has action and romance also. Rango, a guy who picks fights all the time gets in a bus crash and is in a coma for a year, every one thinks he's dead, and now a pervert plastic surgion has given him a girls body, now he has to act the part of the twin sister to the love of his life! A Hilarious and Twisted Manga

This manga is a very unique piece of work by a lovely writer. It takes the reader through the journey of a boy who unfortunately gets mixed up with a crazy docter, a girlish face, and the fact that everyone thinks he's dead! I highly recommend this book but be careful because it does contain some teen content! :)
