Overview

There is a place in all of us where our deepest secrets lie in wait for their moment to surface, and surface they will.

After living through a real live nightmare, Olivia wants nothing but to forget. Forget and move on. But how do you forget something that has stained your soul and forces you to lie to your loved ones? Even if your intentions are to spare them the horrors of the truth?

Luke knows Olivia is not as recovered as she would have him believe. He can see the pain she tries to keep hidden behind her eyes, and knows she has not told him everything. But how do you save someone who won’t let you in? Where shame holds Olivia captive, Luke suffers through the guilt of not protecting the one person he loves more than anything.

Can two people who have suffered so dearly find a way to come together or will they risk the dreams they have placed in each other’s hearts? Can love find a way where forgiveness cannot?

Meet the Author

Author Jennifer Miller was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, but now calls Arizona home. Jennifer’s love of reading began when she was a small child, and only continued to grow as she entered adulthood. Ever since winning a writing contest at the young age of nine, when she wrote a book about a girl with a pet unicorn, she’s dreamed of writing a book of her own.

Quickly learning that dreams don’t just fall into your lap, she knew she had to chase them herself and not be afraid to dream a little bigger. Most importantly, she is a wife and mother, and is very lucky to have a family that loves and supports her in all things. She also has an unhealthy addiction to handbags and chocolate covered strawberries, neither of which she cares to change.

    My review:

Pretty Little Dreams is the second book in the series and you definitely need to read the first book in order to understand what is going on. Since I had not read Pretty Little Lies, I did that and it ended with a huge cliffhanger.

Pretty Little Dreams is well-written and I liked how the author developed the characters and the story also became darker, deeper and more serious. I loved the writing!

It's written through 2 POVs and really liked reading the novel both from Olivia's and Luke's perspective. They both had their significant voices to carry the story. It was gripping, emotional and left me speechless few times.

Olivia goes through hell due to her ex. Her story is heartbreaking, painful and as the story continues, also hopeful. She is a heroine I truly enjoyed. She is vulnerable and yet so amazingly strong person. She goes through a lot of pain and has many fears, but her love is still there. Luke was my favorite in Pretty Little Dreams. I loved his character! He and his love for Olivia was hot, romantic and totally adorable.

I definitely recommend Pretty Little Dreams. Start with Pretty Little Lies and you will get an enjoyable experience! Jennifer Miller was a big surprise for me and I am glad that I found her books and I will keep an eye for her upcoming books!

*ARC was provided by author for honest review.
When I picked up Pretty Little Lies last June I wasn’t expecting much but a few hours of reading enjoyment. This was the debut book for the author so I went into it with an open mind and just the hope that I would like it. I loved it, and got so much more from Ms. Miller’s writing then just a few hours of reading enjoyment. I ended up staying awake until 2 AM just trying to finish it. It was funny, it was moving, and it was sexy and sassy and ended with a huge cliff hanger that I just had to know what happens next. When I got the opportunity to read and review Pretty Little Dreams I had to jump on that chance.
I was so excited to read this book and I wasn’t let down at all. Ms. Miller continued to give me the things I got from the first book, but also more. I again stayed up until the early hours of the morning trying to finish it. This book was darker than Pretty Little Lies, but it still had the humor, the sexy, the amazing friendships and the sassy I expected. I went through so many emotions with this book. I felt the pain and helplessness that Olivia felt in her situation and I even cried along with her; I felt Luke’s and Pyper’s pain in not knowing what was going on and for not being able to help. I literally laughed out loud when Olivia decided to make Luke dinner (if you have read it you will know what I am talking about, if not be prepared to have people look at you funny since you are laughing out loud while reading). I had to fan myself a time or two at the sexiness that is Luke. It was a fantastic conclusion to the story of Luke and Olivia and I am looking forward to more books from Ms. Miller.
I must add that Ms. Miller’s writing impressed me. This is only her second book, but I don’t see that when I’m reading. She has seemed to found her groove in her writing and I’m sure it will only get better. She is witty and pays attention to the details, but not so much that you are filled with useless facts. She writes characters that could be real people. They have flaws and humor, they don’t always make the best choices but they try to do their best with what they got, they could be someone you know. I very much recommend reading Ms. Miller’s work.

I absolutely love this book. If you have not read Pretty Little Lies go get it now and start. You get to see how Olivia ended up where she is. The last book was a huge cliffhanger and this book picks up about a month later. You do get to find out what happened in the month. Olivia is awesome in that she is strong willed and tries to pick up the pieces of her life again. I love the way Jennifer shows you what Luke is going through. He is a good guy that can't really deal with the fact that Olivia was hurt and he didn't/couldn't help her. You get to see what an emotional turmoil they try to get though.

I love the way Jennifer can really make you feel what her characters are feeling. I recommend you go get these books and read them. They are AWESOME!!! I am giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5.

A MUST Read!I love the book; I like that it had, of course as in the first one romance, love & friendship, but also a little darkness. What happen to Olivia after she was kidnapped was something that can really happen in real life and like in real life not everyone makes out alive.
I fell in love with Luke even more. He is just an amazing character. It is for sure that Luke and Olivia were and are meant to be together, but will they be together? I am not giving away any spoilers, but all I’m saying is… OMG scavenger hunt! That was really beautiful.

    Please

make sure you read the first one before you start this one. You really have to know these characters before you begin Pretty Little Dreams. I like both books, and actually as soon as I finished the first one, I ordered this book. I needed answers. There were times that I questioned the heroine's actions, but not ever having worn those shoes, I backed off. I recommend both "Pretty" books.

    Great Book

Threw me for a loop, don't want to ruin the story for others. So I'll just say the strength of true love is what's needed when going through a traumatic experience.

    Highly recommend

This is a must read after book one! It will pull at your heart strings. You will want to love and hate Luke but cheer him on even so. Olivia is brave and wonderful character. Looking forward to reading about Pyper.

this second book Pretty Little Dreams was just as amazing and heartwarming as the first book Pretty Little Lies and maybe a little better.
I love love that it was done in both Olivia's and Luke's POV., it add so much more beauty to the story. I love this author's writing style and think
she did an awesome job keeping the readings attention, this book had just the same if not more of the passion, and love that you got from the
first book regarding the feelings and history between Olivia and Luke and with this second book you also got the suspense and the rawness
of the pain that each character goes through when a love one is hurt or in pain and that bond between them., you feel all and every emotion they
feel which make for such an tense read that has you turning page after page and has you so into the story that nothing else seems to matter
other then finding out what happens next and at the same time hoping the story doesn't end.. this is one series I highly recommend and is a
must read ... I look forward to what this author writes next <3

Thank Heaven for Pretty Little Dreams and for Author Jennifer, without them, we'd never know what happens next to Olivia and Luke. Does Olivia get away from Deacon? Does Luke lose hope that Olivia is alive? Can Olivia survive in her own private hell? Can Luke bring his precious LOVE Olivia home to create their Pretty Little Dreams? Grab your box of tissues and buckle up for the rollercoaster ride of the second part of the Pretty Little Lies series. The ups and downs-highs and lows of this wonderfully written book series that kept my emotions perfectly on edge throughout both books.

Just finished Pretty Little Dreams and all I can say is WOW!! 5

Just finished Pretty Little Dreams and all I can say is WOW!! 5 amazing stars just does not seem like enough. It was well worth the wait. You are on a roller coaster ride of emotions. At times you find yourself laughing so hard that tears are pouring down your face and other time you are crying.  Olivia and Luke’s story will touch your heart. I was so caught up in the story there were times I felt I was there with Luke and Olivia.

If you have not read Pretty Little Lies you need to read that one first. This series is a must have for your library, nook or kindle. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
