Editorial Reviews

Library Journal

The current increase in popularity of crafting with felt is somewhat surprising because felt has been around since ancient times. These two books feature projects for jewelry and accessories using felt combined with beads and stitchery. Lifelong crafter Collings provides step-by-step projects for decorations and toys, while graphic designer Hill focuses on knitted and crocheted wire and fiber projects.

    Lovely book

I keep carting this book around in my purse and fantasizing about the moment in my busy schedule when the stars will align where I will have the right supplies and the right amount of time to make some of these treasures. I'm planning on making the lovely little jewelry bag for all of the mothers and mother-in-law type people in my life this year for the holidays. The author also sells some of the more hard to find stuff she references in her book, on www.etsy.com.

I will add that since felting is "in", it's hard, at least where I live to find good vintage supplies on short notice so I was forced to buy new. If you are serious about the look of her trinkets, start collecting now.

Definitely my favorite make-it book right now.

Great Source of Ideas & Inspiration!!

I'm always looking for craft and art books that not so much teach me a technique, but visually interest and excite me to try something different than I am already doing in my art. This book, 'Pretty Little Felts' did just that. Since purchasing it, I have poured over it several different times and each time I find something new that grabs my attention. I will probably hold onto this book for a long time as a reference.

Fun to look at as well as fun to do

This book is a lot of fun trying out some of the projects. It is a good base to change some things to make them your own or do exactly as the book instructs. Some things maybe different depending on the way you make it or the old jewelry you have to create some of the baubles.

I enjoyed the little fairy people out of crepe paper so many ideas. It's worth a try. The photos are beautifully done.

    Well Done

    Kat
