For a magazine the purports to be about natural healing and health, there is an abundance of prescription drug advertisements. I get sick of seeing these commercials on the TV; I'm not going to pay to read them.

I bought a Nook Color for several reasons, one of which was to start the conversion of getting "hard copy" magazines to digital copies. I very rarely ever read a magazine again once finished with it, and I don't like storing them. Throwing them away seems a waste, and recycling in my area is a PITA. So ... I have great hopes for the digital future of magazines. Prevention is one of my favorite magazines, and the digital version for Nook Color did not disappoint me. It's laid out well; easy to navigate; looks stunning on the Nook Color screen; and the price is reasonable. I'm happy with this magazine and look forward to someday reading ALL of my magazines this way.

Have been a Big fan of Prevention for decades. I wish it had fewer ads and more content though. But it is still very informative.

I really like the format of this because it has article view and the pages can be dragged bigger or smaller. Some other mags don't allow dragging out & some don't have article view. The emag is better than the paper copy. The content, of course, is great.

I rec'd a free trial offer "Prevention Magzine" in the magazine it offered a "free Healing Foods book"with a subscription... I like to read on my nook, it cuts down on all the paper and magazines pile-up. So I subsribed on my nook and called the office to ask if I would be eligible for the Healing Foods book. I was told no, I have to cancel the nook subscription (which would automatically be paid every month) and order the paperback!
I feel I should have been provided with the book, so I cancelled the subscription and do not intend to order the magazine.

My rating is not for the content, but for the fact that when I discontinued my print subscription my digital copies (of months I paid for) disappeared. Prevention insisted they did not have a record of the subscription despite the fact that I gave them the account information etc. So be for warned, that if you cancel , you will lose your old digital copies. This has NOT happened with other digital subscriptions.

With so many ads in this mag, they should pay you to subscribe.

I have always loved Prevention magazine and how convenient to have it at my fingertips all the time. Yes it has too many ads, but so does every magazine sold on every news stand.
I have a general question that I am having trouble finding the answer to, and that is.... How do you "unsubscribe" if you decide you no longer want it to automatically download each month??

There was a lot of good information but a lot of advertisements. Some things I would want to tear out and share with a friend but on Nook that is not possible. I'll have to think about whether to subscribe or just buy copies that I find interesting.

Good reading and eye opening in some cases. Very colorful and laid out in a very organized manner for the nook. Colors are awesome and so crisp and clear. Price is the best as far as I can tell. You get a lot of magazine for a little bit of money! (I, too, dont care for all of the ads, but I imagine that is what helps to keep the subscription price down.)

You have to expand the page or use article view, but at least there are decent articles to read.
