Overview

Stephen Clair, the notorious Earl of St. Joseph, has a lover he can't afford, a social calendar that's out of control and a libido that rules his life. If he can't gain control of his finances, his social calendar and rid himself of his lover, he will fall into financial ruin. Could the youthful, handsome and dependable Jamie Riley be the solution to his problems?

Jamie Riley has a secret that keeps him from accepting the sexual advances of his employer, Stephen Clair, and a past he would like to leave behind. But Stephen Clair is a handsome man who knows how to awaken a passion that Jamie has been trying to suppress, and carries a price that Jamie would rather not pay. But it isn't easy to ignore passion, especially when it's so temptingly close.

Julian Jeffries, lover to Stephen Clair, has found a way of living the high life without lifting a finger. It isn't until Julian notices that Stephen has been spending time with his latest employee, Jamie Riley, that he begins to worry about losing everything he'd schemed to have. Now Julian needs to find a way of getting rid of Jamie Riley without raising suspicion. And, as Julian knows, the best way to do that is to dig into Jamie's past and find something to use against him.

    Historical M/M Erotic Romance

Stephen Clair wanted nothing of his new inherited title as Earl Of St. Joseph bestowed on him after the death of his elder brother Robert. Stephen made horrible mistakes squandering money, and the creditors bills kept him from paying his staff when it was due each quarter. That is until a young man named Jamie Riley showed up on his doorstep ready to care for the children. Jamie had no idea that Robert, his wife and children were all killed out to sea. Stephen felt he owed the boy as much to give him the job of Secretary, but if Stephen was not careful he would end up throwing his heart into the deal as well. Jamie Riley had a hidden past of his birth as well as the wanton feelings for the man who taught him as he was growing up the vicar. Jamie wanted a fresh start after his mother passed away and decided to call upon the Earl of St. Joseph for the childcare position. When he discovered the horrible news, Jamie thought he had hit rock bottom. The new Earl was a beautiful man and as days progressed the Earl became fond of the little mouse, Jamie. But when Stephen planted a kiss on Jamie's soft lips, Jamie tried to deny the feelings he harbored for the Earl. Stephen could not get Jamie out of his head, even when Julian, Stephen's lover was there to offer the Earl his body. When Julian thought that Stephen could be falling for Jamie, Julian pulled a few dirty little tricks to try and scare Jamie away. When Jamie is found missing from his room, Stephen is beside himself. With no money for a better place to stay and no job to pay for food, what is going to happen to Jamie on the streets? With all of Julian's schemes will Stephen and Jamie ever have the chance to embrace one another again? This book was a hot read, the M/M erotica was scorching! MJ Pearson knew exactly how to draw in a reader with the sensual, erotic descriptions of her characters. This is a Historical Erotic Romance that is pleasing to read even if you're not into the gay genre, maybe this one will change your mind. This book was very tastefully written and I am happy to award 4 hearts to Ms. Pearson for The Price Of Temptation.

    Rollicking Sexy fun!

This book is a joy to read! It's full of breezy wit, breathless adventure, and lots and lots of love, lust and romance not to mention a cast of marvelous secondary characters, the like of which I have not met before. (Plus, it does not have run-on sentences which I just used to describe it.) The Price of Temptation kept me entertained for hours and left me wanting to know more about these guys. A really good read.

    This is romance!

This is the first actual gay romance I¿ve read . . . ever! The further into it you went, the more you tore at the pages eager to know what happened. It¿s not high literature, but it is pure fun.

Exceptional read. Not bad for a book I found in a second hand shop. The cover is delightfully tongue in cheek and if that is'nt enough to get you to read it, then consider the plot.  the story line is fun and is not overbearing.  just enough for the imagination and just enough details.  the secondary characters are more than side characters or fill ins.  They are crucial and a fun bunch of misfits determined to get their irresponsible lord to settle down with a od and sensible lad. The last few chapters is a page turner making you wonder if they'll make it in time!
