There was no way I could fall asleep until I finished this book. The visual richness pulls you right in. I feel like I had the experience having read it, almost like a memory. I could see images so clearly and really felt as though I was there. At several points, I was yelling at the book, the highs and the lows are SO intense and very, very real for a time and place long gone. It is so masterfully crafted as a story but also in knowing that so much truth and wisdom was woven within, I felt the importance and relevance of this tale. It must be told. And I didn't want it to end.
