Primal Call by Susan Sizemore A Primes novel. I tripped over this by accident. I like Ms. Sizemore's Primes series but I had no idea this was coming out. I think this might be the best one yet. I love that the Primes universe is a matriarchal society. The Prime, James Strahan aka Wild Jimmy Wilde, isn't in the traditional alpha male business like cop, soldier, or corporate mogul. This Prime is a hot, sexy, leading man type actor. Athena Blaise is the author of the book the movie he is acting in is based on. She lives on a farm in Missouri and he works in LA. Her people figure a photo op with the folks doing the movie would help sales of her books. She thinks Jimmy is too young for her and he has the problems of distance and celebrity to deal with before they can get together and even address the vampire issues. This is grand fun.

THIS WAS SURPRISING BECAUSE IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE SHE WRITTEN HER PRIMES SERIES THAT I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE FORGOTTEN TO MUCH BUT IT WAS A NICE REFRESHER AND I LIKE THE FACT SHE BROUGHT A COUPLE OF THE ORINGINAL CHARACTERS FROM THE FIRST 3 BOOKS BACK NICE TO GET REAQUAINTED WITH HER CHARACTERS LOOKING FORWARD TO A FULL NOVEL

Great short to a promising series. I really enjoyed Sizemore's world of supernaturals. Thena's reluctance to get involved with the vampire movie star, Jimmy Wilde, was totally believable. She really made him work to convince her of his intentions. It was a lot of fun to read, I only wish it was longer. I already went out and bought several other full length novels in the series. I can't wait to get started reading them.

I have been a fan of Susan Sizemore and her series books for sometime now. I love the way she puts her characters together and this book is just as good as the others in the series. If you like Suzan Sizemore you can't skip this one.

I found the storyline believeable with all the modern techo uses. Also Thena's reluctance and making James court her the old fashion way was awesome. Hope to see more of these characters.
