Overview

More than anything else, cable TV reporter Andrea Malone wanted a network job. And it could be hers if she gained a coveted interview with the aging General Ratiff — especially if she uncovered the secret that drove him into seclusion at his Texas ranch. One obstacle was Lyon Ratiff, the general's watchdog of a son. Andrea had a plan, but had no way of knowing how Lyon's unexpected, undeniable effect on her would change everything, how they both would face a storm of suspicion and betrayal — and how Andrea Malone would have to choose between the ruthless demands of her profession and the equally strong dictates of the heart.

This was the first book of Sandra Brown's that I have read, and I must say it was quiet titillating to say the least. I found myself reading it in 2 sittings and did not want it to end. I would recommend this book to anyone, and in fact almost all the ladies in my office have read it and enjoyed it just as much as I did.

prime time by sandra brown (rachel ryan) She's trying to get the scoop of a lifetime to get her the better job at the network. He is a recluse and is getting very old and he has stipulations to the interview. Andi has the interview and he wants her to stay at the family house. Her film/audio crew will stay in the bunkhouse. Ryan the son has objections but his dad holds his ground. Health issues arise and Ryan falls apart and Andi tries to help but can she achieve a better outcome? Just when you think a happily ever after ending, everything erupts and there is no way this is going to be a happy ending....

overall this was a good book. there was alot of time wasted in Andrea and Lyon bickering and jerking each other up and down, back and forth. Probably once or twice would have been tolerable but this happened too many times so it was more aggravating than enjoyable. Actually a sequel to this one would be good...there is ALOT OF STORY left to tell. With General Ratliff's past, his life with his hif wife and Lyon growing up until his death when Andrea came into the picture. Then of course the housekeeper Gracie's life, Andrea's life (with the crew from her job...maybe even coming to live near Andrea, and Lyons life...then all merge to one...with Gracie right in the center....maybe even find a gentleman for her. Another good book from Mrs. Brown....just could have replaced the yanking around with more substantial material.
