Children's Literature - Patrice Russo Belotte
While her mother is off reprimanding centaurs and her father is off hunting, Millie is left to deal with the magical issues that arise in the kingdom. Since her engagement to Audun, Millie has spent much of her time learning how to transform between her two states of being, a human heiress and a fire-breathing dragon. With her attention distracted by her engagement and shape-shifting, her own skills at magic have never been fully mastered. Determined, Millie and Audun use their common sense and practicality to help solve the problems in the absence of the King and Queen. One issue after the next keeps Millie and Audun occupied and away from the castle. It isn't until her younger brother Felix goes missing, that Millie starts to question all these many catastrophes. Her love and devotion to her family fuels her search and she quickly finds Felix, but getting him back will take much more than dragon-sense and practicality. Millie and Audun must rescue the royal family from a string of trickery, curses, and spells orchestrated by Olebald, an evil and ornery wizard. Driven by rage and a passionate hatred for all that is good in the world, Olebald seeks control of the kingdom. Limited resources and magical knowledge force Millie to reach out for help in unlikely places and from some questionable characters. In the eighth book of the "Tales of the Frog Princess" series, Millie and Audun embark on their most dangerous adventure that yields the most powerful of rewards. Through this improbable family drama, Millie and Audun are forced to bring together the two opposing worlds they represent to defeat the wizard and unite their kinds. Reviewer: Patrice Russo Belotte

I own the series, love them all. For a eleven year old I read a lot, and I only read the best of the best. A Frog Princess has many features like a young romance, twisted adventures, magical settings, and a lot more. It's not my every day book, but any girl who is fine about reading about princesses and girly girl things will be hooked. Dive into this book.

With their wedding just around the corner, Millie and Audun have their hands full getting the castle ready for a celebration filled with dragons, humans, and people on both sides who don't like each other. When Millie's mother, father, great-aunt, and great-uncle all get called away on magical business, Millie, Audun, and her cousin, Francis, are left to take care of the kingdom and whatever other business comes up. When her little brother, Felix, is kidnapped while she's away taking care of other matters, Millie must find the power within herself to save her brother. The problem, however, is that she has no witch magic to speak of, her parents have gone missing from their original destination, and Olebald the wizard is bent on getting his revenge against her family and their kingdom. Can Millie save the day? A must-read for anyone who likes fantasy and has read the other books in THE TALES OF THE FROG PRINCESS series. The characters are well-developed and true to their natures. The story is filled with lots of adventure, action, and high stakes. The plot is gripping and holds the reader's interest. Those who like fantasy, magic, action, and adventure will all enjoy reading A PRINCE AMONG FROGS.

Well this was a pleasant surprise! I was looking for the first one as a suggestion for a different review and there this was! I'm so EXITED! I loved this series, It was my first teen series, and really I LOVE that they keep going generation through generation! My biggest worry is that I won't remember everything that happened in the LAST BOOK. Ummmm just one thing about the artwork is that it looks like the first book cover, the frog princess. Anyway, i need to read this.If you have not read the series yet ,seriously, RIGHT NOW, find the rest of the series and add it to your wish list. OH! and , if you can, get two books at a time---these go down fast.
