Overview

Through with running from the past, Joelle Randall has come to the rugged Canadian Rockies determined to face her pain and begin anew. All she needs is a guide to lead her through the untamed mountain wilderness to the site where her parents’ plane crashed long ago. But the only guide Joelle can find is Luke Gévaudan, a magnetically attractive loner with the feral grace of a wolf and eyes that glitter with a savage intensity. She has no idea that Luke is the stuff of legends, one of the last survivors of an ancient race of werewolves, a man whose passion she will not be able to resist—no matter how terrible the price.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
“Susan Krinard was born to write romance.”—Amanda Quick

“The best first novel of the decade.”—Affaire de Coeur

Library Journal
Determined to confront her past and finally lay it to rest, Joelle Randall heads for the rugged Canadian Rockies to find the site of her parents' plane crash 12 years ago. What she finds, however, is a new aspect of herself and an unexpected and passionate love in the arms of the enigmatic loner Luke Gvaudan, one of the last of the legendary race of werewolves. In this debut Krinard has spun a dark, magical, and highly lyrical tale that provides a far more gentle and romantic interpretation of the werewolf mythologies than is the norm. Well written, nicely paced, and surprisingly believable, this novel may be of interest to fans of Cheri Scotch, Lori Herter, and Anne Stuart. [Krinard lives in Walnut Creek, California.]

Meet the Author

New York Times bestselling author Susan Krinard trained as an artist and has a BFA in illustration from the California College of Arts and Crafts. She became a writer in 1992 when a friend read a short story she’d written and suggested she try writing a romance novel. A longtime fan of science fiction and fantasy, Krinard began reading romances—and realized that what she wanted to do was combine the two genres. Since then, she’s published more than a dozen paranormal and fantasy novels and written stories for a number of anthologies, both fantasy and romance.

Wolves have always interested me and since i saw the movie WOLF i became a big fan for the supernatural romances.Prince of Wolves was a very wonderful emotional story, after reading the first few chapter Luke Gevaudan character irritated me because of his intention to Joelle but as the story progressed Luke finally realizes he found his true soul mate after struggling with his emotions. The details and description was so real, not to forget mentioning the hidden village were the werewolves lived secretly from the rest of the outside world. I always believed that a good writer knows how to let the reader's emotions come out and Susan Krinard is one of them.

this was a great book but I feel there was to much explanation about the whole story it didnt come together at the end but I would have thought the author would bring it all together sooner so we didnt get confused. liked it a whole lot but got to complicated at the end. im sure it set it up for sequils but expected more cant deny it is a must read
