    the girl w/ no memory

Actually I am in the middle of reading the book right now. And if you are a person like me who reads for understanding and someone who likes tokyo pop books this book is for you. The authers did a great job of word chioce, when I was reading this book it I could imagine what the characters are saying and I could also picture the setting. Also, have to say that if you ever need something to put questions in your mind this is what I recommend.

    Princess Ai Volume 1

A great graphic novel,Ai is a girl who lands up in Tokyo and has no memory of how she came to be here, her amazing voice gets her a contract with a famous recording company,Don't worry there's romance, fantasy and humor.Though not for anyone under 13.I read this series till the last book which is volume 3,it keeps you thinking "What's going to happen next?".One of my favorite graphic novels!Oh and there's a continuing story after the third book it's Princess Ai:The Prism of Midnight Dawn,it picks up where the third book ends.A must-read if You love the Princess Ai series!

    This is a great Book!!

I loved this book. I am a manga artist my self and i loved the outfits. Some a little more then others. Over all it was great. The story needed a few more details but from my point of view it was just right. I constantly reread it over and over. each time i find a new detail in the pictures

    Awesome As Hell!!! ^_^

I love princess ai!!! She is so cool, and I love her fashion sense. And almost all the guys in the story are hot, especially Takashi, Kent, Hiruka. And it may sound weird but I think Tess (The Furie) is hot too. But, overall the books is great. Too bad theres only 3 volumes in the series. :(

    Kokomori

Okay, i am not a fan of courtney love but i'll put my absolute disgust of love aside for this book. Artwook: Misaho does an amazing job at drawing Ai, Kent,Hikaru,Tess and Takeshi (who I'm convinced is Billy Corgan from Smashing pumpkins in desguise!) and the outfits are absolutley gorgeus! as for the backrounds well... they lack depth in some scenes but with Kujiradou's use of tones more than makes up for it. Plot: The plot spews, I still believe that if Princess Ai were a story soley about a struggling rockstar the apeal for readers would have increased, to be honest Ai the fantasy princess from Ai-land is not that interesting. DJ Milky: There is no doubt in my mind that DJ Milky is a talented writer, but my goodness does he have to exagerate on Ai's appearance? Why is it that all men instantly have to fall in love with her upon first site? Ai is cute but she's not that apealing. If Milky were going to write about Ai being so irresistable i believe he should have written it in a way where girls flocked towards Ai, but as like a symbol of strength showing that girls dont have to sumbmit to becoming Paris Hilton or some bimbette like that (odd choice of words on my part seeing that Ai is loosley based on Courtney love) And as for his song writting skill's i'm going to have to say need work, does he really have to ryhme each verse? Dont get me wrong I like the song 'Seraph Serende' But Milky needs to stop rhyming every single little word it's just annoying. Courtney Love: The name sends a tingle of disgust through my veins, I do not like her at all and it has nothing to do with Cobain her late husband. Now with that aside lets get to Courtney's involvment in this enjoyable tale of a princess from another world. is that she had NOTHING to do with the art, or the Writting, the only thing Love contributes to is her voice (for the anime singing) and her likeness. Ai is Courtney's alter ego, note a very exaggerated loosly based version of courtney. Ai is a girl I could respect, because she is real she stands up for herself when the time is right she does not give up on her loved ones, she respects herself most of all and would probably die before making an idiot of herself. Ai is overall a beutiful tough gal. Love on the other hand is a wreck she is an attention seeking brat with no self respect what so ever, she'll even get naked at the sight of a darn camera for crying out loud! and it does not even have to be for a shoot for heffners magazine just the first unsuspecting tourist with her family will do. She loves to start fights and give nice people axiety just for the heck of it. Courtney Love should have gone by her initials because fans of manga and rock will most likely turn away from this book, which is kind of harsh to Milky and Kujiradou(who are the REAL talents behind Princess Ai)to be honest the only real reason I read was becaus of Ai Yazawa who contributed to illustrating Princess Ai (her artwork is just amazing by the way!) and Kujiradou who's work I've previously read and loved. so overall PRincess AI is worth the read but only because of Kujiradou, Yazawa and Milky who did a magnificent job on Ai and Kent. They are the ones who deserve true recognition for their hardwork and determination, and also it's a good thing to support TRUE artists and not a talantless hack. Kokomori

    Love it!!

I have been reading Manga for a long time now, and I love Rock music, so this is the perfect mix!!! I showed it to my band(we are just starting out), Who have never read Manga before and they all went out to buy this volume themselves. I Love Kent and I love Ai and her ways. She won't take anything! It has to be on her terms. She is ready to take this world by surprise. We read it wehn we can't think of lyrics, and it helps. Listening to A Change of Pace and reading Princess Ai, we feel like we can conqure the world.

This book is awesome. I loved it a lot and I found myself reading it over and over again. There's flawless animation and it completely met my standards. I recommend it for first time manga readers. You'll be hooked on it for a while and you'll fall into the enigmic life of Princess Ai.

    I read better comics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The comic book is not worth reading. The only reason this comic book is been notice is because Courtney Love is still been blame for thr murder of Kurt Cobain. I do not reccomend this book or anything that has to do with Courtney Love because it is predictable.

    Beautiful

The artwork is beautiful and well done, a style you sometimes take for granted. I admit the plot is a bit odd and predictable at the same time, but it still leaves you wanting more, both in a good and bad way.

    Love defends self in comic

This manga is hilarious. The actual artwork is well done, but the plot is horrible and predictable. The only, and I repeat only, thing that saves this book is the obvious allusions to Kurt Cobain and the thinly veiled attempts made to appeal to those who still hold Love responsible for his death. Because of this, I'd recommend it to fans of Courtney Love, and even fans of Nirvana [if only for the comedic value].

    An amazing manga!

I was pretty well aquainted with manga, but I've never read anything like this. Besides a great storyline, it has that cutie Kent in it! ^_^ I don't normally care for Courtney Love, but she's really outdone herself this time. I totally reccomend this manga for anyone!

    Beautiful Story

Personally I'm fan of Courtney Love and this manga is wonderful. There were definently references to Kurt Cobain with the character Kent and Princess Ai seemed like a fairytale version of Ms. Courtney Love herself. The story itself was wonderful, I don't want to spoil it so I won't say too much, but it is a love story with some humour in it. And the clothing Ai wears is remarkable it sparked the fashion designer in me all over again.

    One Of The Best!

Princess Ai is one of the best mangas iv'e ever read! It is drawn in the shoujo design, giving it a cool look. The great storyline makes you want to never put down this manga. Princess Ai is the fallen angel that meets a hot guy, named Kent, who takes her in. But little does he know that he gets swept up into a whirlwind of a fallen kingdom, a unspoken love, and the truth! Yowza!

    Amazing skill!

I am a dedicated manga fan, and this has to be on my top manga list. The art work is absolutely beautiful, the outfits are amazingly unique and exquisite, and the storyline is so captivating. This book is a MUST READ!!! I would give it 10 stars, but it only goes up to 5...
