Meet the Author

Philippe Sands is Professor of Law and Director of the Centre on International Courts and Tribunals in the UCL Faculty of Laws. He is also a practising barrister, with extensive experience litigating cases before the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes and the European Court of Justice.

Jacqueline Peel is an Associate Professor at the Melbourne Law School, with a background in environmental science and law. She has taught many courses in environmental law, international environmental law and climate change law, and has published widely in the field.
