Overview

---Adult themes and situations Mature Content---

Tess has never had sex. Believe it or not, shes never had a decent kiss.

The aspiring Seattle painter and photographer is still recovering from the trauma of being beaten and nearly raped at a rock show nearly three years before. So she keeps life simple: she goes to school, goes to work in a coffee shop, goes home, goes on living.

But then Bens naked body crashesalmost literallythrough Tesss wall against the world.
Ben is doing his dads art-teacher girlfriend a favor when he agrees to pose nude for her drawing class. But what he draws is the interest of the irresistible punk-looking girland its interest he reciprocates, with interest.

Their sexual chemistry is too much to resist. But its when they have their clothes on that their heat quickly slips on ice. Bens womanizing history is one thing, but its history of another kindrelated to that fateful night at the rock showthat threatens to tear the young lovers apart forever.

What can I say I LOVED this book! Tess is a girl in her 20’s who never has had a real relationship and honestly hasn’t really cared too until she met Ben. Ben is a man who wants women for one thing and one thing only until he met Tess. This story is different than ones I’ve read in the past and the characters are great. Tess is someone who isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind and I found myself laughing out loud once or twice reading this. Ben is a gorgeous man who knows what he wants and goes for it but doesn’t expect to fall in love. This books has a little of everything Love, Drama and Humor. My kind of book! I don’t like to say too much in a review for spoiler reasons but I have to say I really enjoyed this book and wish it was longer. This is Danielle Torella’s first book and I think she did a fantastic job!!!

Good storyline. Proofread badly, a lot of typos, bad grammar

This book had potential but it was simply too scattered in the pace of the story and the quality of the writing. There were good moments and then a rushed, lame scene where too many things happened without properly crafting the scene or developing the characters. Many of the scenes were also quite predictable and unrelatable. My impression while reading this book was that either the author was trying hard to finish this towards a deadline or lacked writing experience (or both). The book would have also benefited from additional proofreading, there were too many gramatical errors. In the end, I did not feel the book was worth the $$ and time. Won't be buying the next book in the series.

I loved the story. The characters had troubled pasts, but overcame it with each other. The ending was my only issue with the book; it felt rushed. Overall, a solid read.

All in all, it was a entertaining quick read. Story had lots of potential but never quite got there. The 'shocker' of the book didn't surprise me very much. I'm not sure why but I saw it coming. Overall, the love story was pretty good but it was just, I don't know, lacking I guess is the word. There was not enough build up to their story. Like I said, grat potential. Would love to see this extended into something about double the length of this book. It would help to fill the gaps and keep the book from feeling so rushed.  *** However, big a$$ props to Danielle bringing in the celebrity band (don't want to give any spoilers.) and BIGGEST props of all for  using Sick Puppies song You're Going Down for when Ben recalls the concert incident. PERFECT set up for what was happening. "When my fist hits your face and your face hits the floor, it'll be a long time coming but you got the message now." Exquisite!! I caught my self grinning and singing the words instead of reading them! AWESOME!!

Private Message by Danielle Torella is an amazing love story.  Tess and Ben are so broken by their pasts that they shut everyone out emotionally.  Until private messaging at an innovative bar called Chatz lets them be themselves in relative anonymity.  Then find it difficult to trust each other, yet impossible to resist each other.  I love the concept of this book and am thrilled that Danielle Torrella has the skills to tell this story effectively.  The meet and greets are as perfectly written as the love scenes.  I will read this one over and over and still never get enough.

I really enjoyed this book! They both have troubled pasts but they have an instant attraction that was very addicting to read about. They have to push past their insecurities and pasts so they can be together. This is never easy. Most of us know that communication (or lack thereof) can be a huge road block in any relationship romantic or not. Ben and Tess were not an exception. It is hard to come forth with your past to a new person if that past has affected how you live your life. I think Danielle did a good job writing this into Ben and Tess' story. The flow was great and I didn't want to put the book down!
