Psychologist Alan Gregory has great style and enjoys a thriving Rocky Mountain practice until his life begins to unravel. It happens this way: One of his patients apparently commits suicide and the local paper accuses Gregory of an improper sexual relationship with his former client.
Gregory no sooner tackles these charges than more of his patients die in ways that seem related. Gregory suspects the killer may be yet another of his patients. Working alone, he follows the tracks of a cunning and disturbed killer.

This book was wonderful! It kept you thinking 'who did it?'. Stephen White is an excellent writer.
I recently started reading novels. I was never able to find an author I really loved, until now. I read Manner of Death and Harm's Way and now this one. This was one of the best books I ever read. I read it for 3 days straight. When I reached the last 30 pages my vision started to blur...but I KEPT READING!!! I loved it. I strongly recommend reading this book by White before any of his others because it gives you some background info on Alan Gregory and the other main characters. If you read nothing else this summer make it this book.
