Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Pat Trattles
Part of the "Football-O-Rama" series from Bearport Publishing, this book chronicles four teams who many consider today's NFL dream teams; the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, and the New Orleans Saints. Each team tells its story in two two-page spreads. The first spread covers basic information such as team history, season statistics as well as post-season playoff and Super Bowl statistics, highlights, key players, and the name of the head coach and starting quarterback. The second spread reveals the secrets to the team's success. Full color photos of the teams in action accompany each spread. Back matter includes a page of dream team records highlighting the four teams' records from the years 2000 through 2009, a glossary of key football terms which were highlighted in the text, a bibliography, index, and suggestions for further reading in print and online. Aimed at the eight to twelve year old reader, this is a must read for young football fans. Its lessons in the value of teamwork are ones that athletes and non-athletes alike would do well to learn in order to be successful in life. Reviewer: Pat Trattles
