Probiotics is defined as “the act of ingesting beneficial, live microorganisms for the purpose of promoting wellness.” To date, there are several studies that state that probiotics is a great way to support existing treatments for some conditions.
We must note early on that probiotics is not a cure for anything (well, at least not yet), but it may be able to help infants, young children, and adults in many situations. This is the main goal of this course: to open your eyes to the wide array of health possibilities available with probiotic supplementation.
When taken in the correct amounts, probiotics can help strengthen the gastrointestinal tract of infants and may even help prevent conditions such as necrotizing enterocolitis or intestinal tissue death. (This has been noted most especially in premature infants who weigh less than one thousand grams upon birth.) In adults, there is some evidence that probiotics can help heal damaged and inflamed intestinal tissues.
Probiotics: The Complete Guide to Beneficial Bacteria was designed as a beginner’s guide to probiotic supplementation. By probiotic supplementation, we refer to both probiotic food products and probiotic supplements that come in pill form, capsule, or even powdered mixes.
The book presents the preliminary information regarding probiotics in the country and around the world.
