I can't do anything else when I'm reading one!

I LOVE the latest installment of this series!! These books are amazing, and I find the Amish fascinating! I am really sappy and can't give up a good romance for beans. Beverly Lewis is incredibly talented, and I cant wait for this summer for the Revelation! I got the Prodigal as a Christmas present, and read it in less than two days. I can't wait to read about what happens to Jonas and Leah, of course, and Jacob Mast!! Ms. Lewis keeps the suspense going through all four of the novels, and I feel like I know the characters. The reader definitely can't predict very much. I strongly recommend all four of Abram's Daughters, but make sure you've got a few good hours straight to spare!

    WONDERFUL-GUT

Another "wonderful-gut" book by Beverly Lewis! (The spacing problem on books 1 & 3 is corrected!) Unlike one reviewer, I'm GLAD for all the cliffhangers ... that's what makes this a "series" ! ;-) It kees it interesting and makes you want to read the rest of the books.

    good quick series

Loved the series story line was great couldn't put the books down wanted to find out what was going to happen to each character. Little disappointed with the cost almost $50.00 to read the series. Read the 4 books in three days. Retired so going to check other Lewis books out at the library.

    more from this reviewer

    another hit!

Beverly Lewis' 4th book, THE PRODIGAL, is seriously another hit. The only thing bad I can say about this book, is that she leaves us with another cliffhanger! Instead of being a book of sorrow, like the 3rd book, this one was much more uplifting. Leah continues her mother's wishes with taking care of Lydiann and Abe, while her father continues to live his single life. Hannah continues on being a mother to her children with Gid, and Mary Ruth starts her own relationship also. THE PRODIGAL answers a lot of questions that her previous books started. I will definitely be sad when this series finally ends.

    REALLY GOOD READING

I CAN'T WAIT TO PICK THE BOOK UP TO READ AND YOU JUST LIVE RIGHT ALONG WITH THE CHARACTERS IN THE BOOK AND HURT WHEN THEY HURT AND LAUGH WHEN THEY LAUGH. SUCH EMOTIONS ARE SPECIAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. I CAN HARDLY WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT BOOK COMES OUT. HOPE IT HAS A HAPPY ENDING.

Beverly Lewis knows what she is doing.

I purchased book one of the Abram's daughter series after reading the reviews on this site. I finished it in 2 days over Thanksgiving weekend and had to wait until Christmas to receive the next three as gifts. It is only the 5th of January and I have read the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I will most definetly be purchasing book 5 on the day it comes out. Beverly Lewis is a very talented writer. She knows how to keep the pages turning, and juggles many story lines effortlessly. I am an instant fan.

    Number four

Finally, it all gets resolved!! Well, not all of it. This book, like the others in the series, ends without closure, which is very frustrating. The most important plotline is finally resolved (mostly), though, so it's not as torturous watiting for number five. I'm starting to wonder if the story of Abram's Daughters will ever end. Lewis has a way of making the reader truly care about the characters and what happens to them. The author is very talented, but I wish she'd stop with all of the cliffhangers.

    WOW!!

All I have to say is that I just finished the book this afternoon and it was soooo good. There are few writers who have the ability to consistantly produce such riviting literature that I literally am unable to put down. I read while I walked and brought the book with me everywhere I went today until I was finsihed reading.

    Wonderful Authoress

Having just finished book four of Abram's Daughters by Ms. Lewis, I have to wonder where I have been for so many years without hearing of her writing. She is indeed a wonderful authoress. I just ordered all three books of the Lancaster County series hoping to continue the pleasure her writing has given me.

    Another great story

I have waited for this story to continue since the last book, The Sacrifice. And I was not disappointed in the least. I can hardly wait for the next book to be released. The story is so mesmerizing that once you start, you read the whole book through. It's really great to follow the family through 20+ years of love, heartaches and happiness.

    This is unbelieveable

After reading the book, I was glad things are turning around for Leah and her family. I wait for the next book to come out this summer 2005. I hope in the next book that Leah's dream will come true and everything will come right with the Mast family.

    Another Page turner from Lewis

Wow, I just got done with the 4th installment of the Abram's Daughters series, and I just could not put it down. I feel like I know this family! I was not disappointed with this book, and now can not wait until next summer for the 5th book, The Revelation to come out! There is more to this story, and I am so glad that Beverly Lewis is going to tell it! It is also great to read a story with such wholesome characters! Thank you, Beverly Lewis!

    Abram's Daughters 5 PLEASE!

This series must continue. We need to know more about Jonas and Leah's outcome. Not writing book 5 to this series would just be cruel. I promise if you pick this book up you won't want to put it down.
