    A reviewer

The authors of Producing With Passion are well-qualified and well-experienced, yet still have enthusiasm and excitement for their subject. This practical yet personal book has three relevant and essential sections: getting it right, getting it done, getting it out. Each chapter is well-organized and gives both overviews and details, with a follow-up 'Key Points' at the end. Having worked on documentaries myself, including in the Arctic and in SE Asia, I fully appreciate Fadiman and Levelle's advice and wish we'd had their book before we set off on our adventures. I certainly intend to use parts of it as a helpful handbook on a feature length documentary I'm currently producing. In addition to practical business advice, Fadiman also has a sensitive understanding of the psychological ups-and-downs of creating a film close to your own heart. Just knowing your feelings are typical can help you get through some of the harder times inherent in this kind of creative work. Whatever your Passion, this book is a practical and inspiring how-to guide for putting that passion into a film that can change others, and maybe even the world.
