Best retouching book on the subject

I've read a number of books on Photoshop and this is without question the best I've seen regarding correcting an image. What this is not is a book about Photoshop effects (other books, such as Artistry cover the more fanciful applications of the program). This book is as good as it comes to explaining how to get the most out of an image by correcting colors, sharpening only certain color channels, and bringing out the best that an image is capable of expressing. I've gotten so much out of this book that it justifies the higher price being charged. At the pre-discount cost of $65, it's rather pricy for a book without an attached CD-ROM (which would have been useful to compare example images instead of solely relying on the color images in the book).
