"Project Rescue: Avoiding a Project Management Disaster" is very good book. On the three books found on this subject, this one is the only one to address the subject in a way useful to the reader. Mr. Purba and Mr. Zucchero do an excellent job of presenting the science of project recovery and one approach to doing a rescue. Their four step process is a valid approach and is described in detail. The only place that this books lags behind is in the artful side of the recovery. They mention numerous times about the mixture of art and science of a recovery and do not spend enough time on the former. This book is well worth having in your library, even if you have recovered multiple projects in the past; a great reference.
