    Good, clean fun.

I discovered Al Lacy many years ago while searching through the public library for something new to read. When I came across his old western-love stories, I didn't think that I'd like them, but I gave them a try anyways and was incredibly impressed.

Al Lacy has a way of writing that is simple, yet elegant and beautiful. His characters are well thought out, well developed, and very life-like. This was one of the first series I read by him (he has MANY series) and I simply fell in love with it. While regular romance is nice, it's also nice to have a story that is simply a love story and not just about lots of sex.

The only thing that MIGHT slow a reader down is that this series is a spin off of another series of his (Journey of the Stranger, book 1), which I didn't know at the time when I started reading. It's not hard to quickly catch up and understand what's going on (because Journeys of the Stranger are NOT romance stories - if you're not into that)...so it is not a necessity to read the other series.

This is a great series to read for any young adults looking for clean romance, or anyone who isn't comfortable with regular romance novels. Even if you don't like western stories, I'd still tell you to give this series a try...I never liked westerns (still don't, really) and this is a favorite series.

Hope they release the rest of the series too!
