Laura Eno's novel, "Prophecy Moon," is testament to her skill in weaving fantasy and romance into a story that is richly sated with magic and adventure. With exceptional language, Eno's writing captures the reader at the heart-where love can be lost, trust can be sold, and destiny can hinder on the forces of magic alone. Travis knows his beautiful world with love, Lessa, is about to change when an old seer comes to his door one peaceful morning, giving him a glimpse of another world in destruction, one seemingly too familiar to him. She tells him of a dream that could be real, but Travis wants to forget the encounter until he wakes into that dark world. The reader is then pulled into his quest to make his dream world with Lessa a reality. But there's just one hitch.Lessa doesn't know him in the dark world and might not even be on his side. Through Travis' adventure to deliver an enchanted possession for the seer, he falls in love all over again with Lessa, and she with him. But their love comes with risk, and the battle to win each other's faith is further heightened in the dangerous world of wizardry and evil through which they travel. Not even those in their own group can be trusted, and Travis' mission to save his dream world deepens with danger and risk at every bend and obstacle in their path. I thoroughly enjoyed Laura Eno's novel, "Prophecy Moon." There is a rich blend of magic, tarot, fantasy, and adventure, and characters with inner struggle and depth that kept the pacing smooth and the suspense heightened. If you enjoy fantasy and romance, this is the perfect novel for you!

Prophecy Moon starts with a pleasant morning's routine-husband, wife and breakfast, interrupted by the woman at the door. But there are secrets behind that strange intruder, and hopeless realities behind the interrupted meal. Travis's other world is a miserable place; and a curious seer with an even curiouser deck of cards may be his only hope. Soon Travis spins into an altogether different, third reality, well-painted by the author with rich greenery and pleasing scents contrasting with the previous world's decay and despair. Backstories weave slowly into the tale, a simple glimpse at a time, adding depth and mystery to the place and its characters. Point of view changes are equally well-timed, revealing hints of truth. And the unfolding quest comes naturally to the tale, making this a really pleasing and absorbing read. Of course, the protagonists are falling in love, just as the reader falls in love with the magical world. And of course, there are obstacles placed in the way of their growing affection. Even as their bodies respond, their doubts and independence intervene. So clearly made for each other, will they ever admit it to themselves? Beauty and evil, love and manipulation-each fights the other on a road to startling revelations at the turn of the cards. "Let go of the might-have-beens," says Travis as the final battle begins. Wise advice to his comrades, and a lesson well-learned in a story that's full of passion, surprises, power and might-yet-bes. I really enjoyed this exciting fantasy, well-crafted, intriguing, and delightfully told.
