Prophecy of the Female Warrior is the first book in the series by K.A. Young. ***May contain minor spoilers*** The story starts with the funeral of Joe, Anna’s dear husband, where she finds by touching his corpse that his death wasn’t what it looked like. After the funeral and several days after she feels observed and followed. Her sister, Julie tries to cheer her up and Dan, Joe’s brother, is worried about her and acts a bit too protective. Eli is a very tall, full of secrets, sexy warrior, that with his calming voice and his beautiful eyes, convinces Anna to fallow him to his house where she discovers and becomes what she really is, while step by step they become close and intimate. Their moments together are hot! Elise becomes her best friend and tries to help her in whatever she can, giving her protection, advice and even helps her seduce her bodyguard in order to leave. My favorite character is Torch! He’s hot, funny, (he’s embarrassing moments reminds me somehow of Rhage from the BDB series by J.R. Ward) he’s also a warrior and he’s Anna’s personal defensive and fight trainer. All that fight and power goes up Anna’s head and she thinks she is invincible and she can treat people disrespectfully. Nyoka has somehow double personality, one hand he’s evil incarnate and on the other hand, he’s like an educated aristocrat that would give, say, and behave correctly and do for you whatever you desire with the condition to spend time with him. The book turns into a love triangle between Anna, Eli and Nyoka that leaves us wanting to know who Anna will choose to mate with…I hope we’ll find out in the next book. Prophecy of the Female Warrior contains too many hot and beautiful nephilim warriors, steamy sex scenes, nice fight moves, monsters, werewolves, vampires and other creatures of the night that is better not to know them and left me with the strange urge to drink that ‘magical’ tasty water. The second book in the series is Destiny Of The Female Warrior and I cannot wait to find out what will happen next! Note: I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

An easy, entertaining read. Nice twist on the paranormal genre. Good balance of action and adventure with a nice, fairly tasteful sprinkling of erotica. Will buy the 2nd in the series.

The author of this book offered a free copy in exchange for a review. I wasn't expecting much, but was willing to keep an open mind. Imagine my surprise when after reading the first few paragraphs; I was completely hooked. When the story begins Anna is just a suburban housewife dealing with one of the hardest moments of her life so far. She is surrounded by family but something has always been off. She has always had mild psychic ability that has mainly been a source of embarrassment for her. Suddenly after tragedy she is racked with unbelievable visions of things that can't exist. Eli, a mysterious stranger, vows to protect and introduce her to a world she has never known. What earns this book a 5 star review is the writing style. The writer is a great world builder but her grasp of real human emotions and character motivation is the force moving this story. If you are a fan of Karen Marie Moning's Fever series give this book a try.

I really enjoyed this book. I found that I was immediately drawn to the main character and plot. I enjoyed seeing her independence and confidence grow. I also found that this book was a good balance between fantasy and romance. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Overall this was a pretty good book, and I am looking forward to finding out what more is to come in the 2nd book. I am not going to go into detail of the story line, that is already given to you in the description, so if that is what your looking for, you wont find much of it here. These are honest thoughts of the book, and feelings from my POV. There are some points in the book where it took me a minute to figure out if I missed something and go "oh right, now I am with ya". There are also some things that I just had a hard time believing and swallowing as true. I don't want to give too much away cause then there is no point in even reading the book, but for example she runs, runs runs runs from what is in front of her and doesn't for a minute want to listen or believe then next thing you know she's all hunky dory and saying "well I always knew I was different and didn't belong." It is a pretty fast paced book. It has the feeling of being slow but at the same time things are always happening (if that makes any sense at all). There are also somethings that I felt were too rushed, and somethings that I felt got glossed over. The book ends with a bit of a cliff hanger, I mean not one where you are going to go nutso if you don't have the 2nd book RIGHT now, but just as in its a series and it leaves you biting for more. Which is what it has done for me. I really like the concept of this story, and honestly I want to finish up the series and see where it goes. There are vamps and there are weres but they are not the main focus, which I thought was cool. Sometimes somethings are too over done. I like hearing about the nephilim, I don't think this subject has been overly done yet. Overall it is a great story line and I will finish up the series, so don't take my review as all bad or negative, its just honest truth. DONT take my word for it, everyone has an opinion, get the book and find out what your is.

I really enjoyed this book. Very different but in a good way. Definately surprised me. Based on the cover and the description I wasn't sure if I would like it. I would recomend it to everyone who enjoys paranormal romance. My only complaint is that it ended. I cannot wait to read the next in the series!

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 stars - I loved it!! This book was a pleasant surprise because the cover usually clues me into something, but this one not at all.  I totally was sucked into Anna’s new world.  I loved everything about this book; it sort of reminds me of Christine Feehan’s Dark (Carpathians) series.  I love that she is a strong woman who won’t put up with being told what to do and thinks for herself.  This book has intrigue, betrayal, mystery, and I could not put the story down and can’t wait to get the next book once I catch up on my reading pile :)

Anna always knew she was different than everyone else in her family. It took the death of her husband for her to find out the why. A good read.

I really enjoyed this book. A very different twist to Nephiliam warriors from any book I've ever read. You have Death, warriors, kick ass female warriors and Vamps.  what's not to love.   Elise was one of my favorite characters, she brings humor to this book and she has a cool gift.  All the warriors are Hot and Anna goes from everyday homemaker to kick ass queen warrior. gotta love a book with female warriors.  This would've been a 5 star book , but for my taste it ended too peaceful, i expected something more.  It is open for book 2 and it does leave you with that " I need to read more feeling" . I recommend this book highly you wont be disappointed by the story , its well written and pulls you in.

I really enjoyed this book and the world that the author created. The addition of the Nephilim warriors into the paranormal world is great. I just loved all the warriors, especially Eli, YUM! I dug the dynamic between Anna and Elise it was hilarious. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I wasn't sure what to expect when someone recommended this series to me. However I fell in love with the series hook  Line and sinker. It was an amazing story. So many ways for it to go and it keeps you guessing. I really enjoyed it and liked  couldn't put it down.

Written like a YA, but with sex scenes. Too many desciptions of fashion and rock hard abs for my taste. Plus, I HATE controlling male characters. Could not finish it.

Good fantasy plot line. Fast moving read...at times felt like part of story was written on "fast forward" and would re-read thinking i had skipped a page or two and missed something...yet i had not. But the fast forward story telling method beats all the drawn out "filler" pages alot of authors use. So overall was satisfied with the read and look forward to next book in series.
