The author takes the story of God's interaction with His people from the time of King Solomon, the most intelligent and wealthiest king ever, until the time of the arrival of the Messiah. We are able to learn just a little from reading the Bible, but this book takes it much further. It tells us of their strengths, their successes, and of their failures. It goes from the Jewish people with their outstanding success at the start of Solomon's reign, until their split up into two nations, Judah and Israel, and their being conquered and made slaves to idolotrous nations. Very well written, easy to read, an excellent demonstration of how God deals with us.
