Mr. Bugliosi clearly lays out the facts of how Bush, Chaney and co. lied to us to get us into a war that has cost us so dearly. Why is there no outcry for an investigation? Are we all sheep? Mr. Bugliosi's anger in the book is palpable, as it should be. Maybe if the American people educate themselves on Bush and co. deceit and rush to war, justice may prevail...

Vincent Bugliosi is a Very Angry Man, Indeed

Vincent Bugliosi is a prosecutor. This book is written in the prosecutorial style prefered by Mr. Bugliosi. All the facts are layed out for the potential jury, and all the counter arguments and mitigating circumstances are countered for the judge and jury.

Mr. Bugliosi's courage and audacity in writing this book are astounding. To suggest that the U.S. prosecute a president for murder for taking the country to war is certainly audacious.

It made me wonder why the major book reviewers declined to review this book. After reading the book it's clear to me that they probably chose to not review this book because it is poorly written. Sarcasm is used to little affect. Mr. Bugliosi's pattern of speech is colloquial rather than cogent and concise. That's a shame, because Mr. Bugliosi is an intelligent educated man. His anger is understandable. After all, W chose to attack Iraq for no discernable reason. Mr. Bugliosi discussed potential reasons for the attack, but like me, is unable to get inside W's head to figure out why he attacked another country.

I would love to see a prosecutor choose to prosecute W for his act of taking the U.S. to war in Iraq for no reason. If murder is the charge, that's fine with me, but I would love to see him prosecuted for war crimes. Perhaps that would set an international standard that would make other world leaders think twice before firing the first shot.

With all its flaws, this is an important book. It tells the Americal public that the emperior has no clothes. That's a lesson we need to take to heart. We often confuse patriotism with compliance. Patriotism is much more difficult to achieve.

Amusing, but nothing more

The Prosecution of George W Bush for Murder By Vincent Bugliosi Published by Perseus Publishinging 352 pages. This latest offering from California¿s literary lawyer, certainly stokes the passions of its readers. But then it would, wouldn¿t it? A detailed exposé of an unpopular president during an election year coupled with a very unpopular war was bound to fire-up aggrieved Democrats and all those who are anti everything else. It would be churlish to suggest that that might have been its intention. Mr Bugliosi is a man of many talents. He is an acclaimed and accomplished criminal layer with significant successes to his credit. He is a successful politician. He writes New York Times best sellers. But most of all, he has almost frightening singleness of purpose. Once he gets into something, he is like a dog with a bone. All of these talents and character traits come together in `The Prosecution of George W Bush for Murder¿, to very good effect. Fundamentally, Bugliosi¿s premise is that for reasons unknown (Bugliosi never offers a motive for the alleged offence), George Bush conspired with others to fabricate a justification for a shooting war with Iraq resulting in the unlawful killing of 4000 American soldiers. The book is a courtroom drama. The first act is a summation to the jury. Bugliosi uses his best endeavours to prepare them (readers), for the evidence to come by destroying the President¿s character. The second act provides the ¿ who said what, and when did they say it, narrative. The final act rubbishes the Bush Administration generally, and those closest to the President in particular. If you believe that all Republicans are pond-slime, and GWB is the slimiest of them all, you will enjoy these 352 pages. But if you are of a more balanced persuasion, you will be mindful of the fact that it is written by a rabid Democrat, with an unquenchable thirst for celebrity. Regardless of the amusement value of the work, it is based on a false premise. The President took the country (and 32 other countries), to war, of that there can be no doubt. The question is not the effect, but the cause. Mr.Bugliosi does not know the reason why the President took the USA to war. And the President does not have to tell him or anyone else why he did what he did. And that is why an indictment for murder would fail. George Bush would only have to confirm his name to the court every other question would inadmissible on the grounds of National Security. Mr.Bugliosi knows that perfectly well. Bugliosi¿s compilation of the evidence is strikingly impressive. His attention to detail deserves the cover price alone. But where he falls down, and I suggest looses his readers, is his uncontrollable need to insult everybody. He refers to Condoleezza Rice as a water-carrier. Bush and everyone working for him are `pusillanimous small men¿. I shall spare the reader other, and more offensive invective. Once you start abusing the accused, your case is lost. If you believe ¿ as Vincent Bugliosi does, that George W. Bush is a heartless criminal who sacrifices American youth with reckless abandon, then this work should find a place on your shelf. I will end by suggesting that you look at pictures of George Bush when he was elected, and look at him now. He has aged 25 years. After reading Bugliosi¿s book, you might be astonished by this, as he informs us that ol¿ George spends all his time on holiday having fun, and doesn¿t give a thought to the misery of grieving parents ¿ or anything else come to that.

The Procecution of George W. Bush for Murder

Like many of Vincent Bugliosi's books his writing captures the reader with his style. After our President has recently admitted to beginning the Iraqi war for no good cause and with the VP's confession claiming he approved of torture on National TV also, many of us wonder, Will one Prosecutor in the United States arrest these men for what they have done to our country and over 4000 of our soldiers? Read the true reason for why Bush did what he did in beginning a war that can't be won. As Bugliosi explains to us with painfully spelled out details, I believe he makes the case for murder. I found myself not surprised but horrified that so many have died for one very unpatriotic, self important man. Born on third base and having assumed his entire life that he has by himself hit a triple, we find the real reason Bush commmitted thousands of our soldiers to a senseless death for his own self serving reasons. None of these reasons have anything to do with anything so honorable as his protecting us. There are his people and the rest of us to Bush. It made me furious, it made me cry for the deaths he caused for nothing. Does he really hate American's who "Are not his people" and are there really so few of his "people" to begin with controling the rest of us? I'd recommend this to anyone who needs the truth, and to those who can handle the facts as they are there in all of their heartbreaking honesty. I believe the case for murder is made. The question is can America handle the facts and do something about it so that no President does this to us again. Bush belongs in jail and so does Cheney. The facts are in the book.

Sad, infuriating and pathetic..... but all true.

I would rank this as one the most controversial and important books written in the last 30 years. Bugliosi presents a strong and unbiased case against George W Bush and his administration, for lying to America into a un-necessary war, and for the murder of nearly 4,000 brave US soldiers and over 100,000 innocent Iraqi men, women and children.... which is based on a conservative estimate, by the way. Will Bush pay for his crimes?? maybe, maybe not... but there is no doubt Bush will have to live with his conscience for the rest of his life.

Most important book of the last 8 years

It's unfortunate that mainstream media has blackballed this book and not reviewed, advertized, or allowed Mr. Bugliosi promote it like an author as credible and respected as him should be. Well presented and documentary evidence against Bush and his officers. We should be outraged about the content of this book, but most americans are mentally lazy and either can't fathom that their president would do this or are just too stupid to see what's right in front of them. Also to blame is our congress, with the conservative republicans and the complacent do nothing democratic majority, most of whom are content just to ride this presidency out. Let's wake up, and on January 21st 2009, arrest and charge the despot and his cabinet.

highly recommended

If anyone wants to know the truth from a reputable author, I recommend reading this book. Politics aside, people need to recognize what really happened during the "W" years and what the true agenda was. It was the war the bankrupted our nation. People need to see beyond the hype.

Guilty beyond all reasonable doubt ...

Vincent Bugliosi presents the now documented facts of the real truth why America is in Iraq. They lead to the door of non other than George W. Bush. Many in his administration are guilty too (i.e. Rove, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Powell to name a few) as well as those in Congress who also had knowledge of the very facts but did nothing to bring the truth to light. This book focuses on and presents the facts in a simple and straightforward manner. These facts, along with the blood of those spilled in Iraq, calls for American justice to hold those accountable as no one is above the law. Let justice prevail. If done, I truly believe the rest of the world will take notice and America will regain its credibility for doing so. Thank you Mr. Bugliosi for taking the time to present some of the material that is evidence enough. You probably only scratched the surface. Eric Holder has a no-brainer of a case sitting on his doorstep. But will he take action for America ?

This book by the most successful murder prosecutor in US history (21-for-21 in convictions) details how BUSH MUST BE CONVICTED OF MURDER FOR THE DEATH OF EVERY US SOLDIER IN HIS FALSE WAR.

Making the legal case easily understandable for those like me who never studied law, this book proves BUSH IS GUILTY OF MURDER FOR THE DEATH OF EVERY US SOLDIER IN HIS FALSE WAR and shows how how he can & should be charged by the Attorney General of the US (as he explains, unlikely), any state or district attorney of any county where soldiers resided (more likely). He offers to volunteer service as Special Prosecutor or advisor, which is like Michael Jordan still in his prime asking to help your basketball team any way he can. Since the book's release, he's testified on it to Congress (see on YouTube) & held press conferences with an Attorney General candidate who promised to prosecute Bush for murder if elected. This can & likely will happen. Spreading awareness of this book is the best means to make it happen as soon as possible, hopefully before these mass-murderers get to live out their natural lives.

Angry With Reason

I have finally read what I have been wishing I could write. I feel sorry for those who have written negative reviews but of course, they are misguided Bush fans so we could not expect less. Fortunately, I have heard Republican friends voice their dismay with this presidency.

Mr. Bugliosi has made it clear that our servicemen who lost their lives were misguided about what they were fighting for as are those who are still fighting. They do as ordered by others who do as ordered who may or may not believe the propaganda of Bush et al.

Of course, if there had been a draft the streets would be filled with protesters. But as long as there are enlistees we keep quiet. The sad thing is even we who have hated the process since 9/11, have been too weak-kneed to speak up, except for a few peace marches, letters to our congress people, and complaining to family and friends.

Thank you, Mr. Bugliosi!

This book was a waste of time. The author's excellent writing style is wasted with a rehash of talking points.

Boring

You would have to be a fool without a brain to believe George Bush would be guilty for "murdering" 4,000 soldiers. The majority of the soldiers in Iraq know what they're fighting for. A problem I have with this is accusing a president who was dealt extremely difficult circumstances with murder and not the actual cowards who kill our brave soldiers. A disgrace...don't waste your money.

Thee - most important book of the past 232 years

I have been waiting for some prominent voice to speak up about the obvious felonies both federal and international in scope for too long. I am getting copies for friends family and my local library system so others can also see the crimes first hand. The claims about Iraq in the lead up to war, were the same bent reasons 9/11 happened, and it was not some Al-Quetip from a dirty cave. Truth, justice, the american way is a list of three different things, unrelated to each other, yet somehow someone wants you to think they are the same. This book will show you the differences. Who are the players that have obstructed justice for the 9/11 dead and injured? This book takes you there and more, it brings the three words back together again.

the writer needs to read the quotes of Al Gore who wanted the end of Saddam's regime. Bill Clinton also bombed Iraq. If there was a no star rating that's what this deserves!!!

IMPEACH AND CONVICT

This book is a sad commentary on what the Bush administration has accomplished in seven years of deceit, illegal activity, and manipulation of the American people. It makes one sick to read about the methodical way Bush and company have brought down this great country by using the very system we thought would protect us, the Constitution. Any American who had any thought of keeping Republicans in charge of anything would be dumbfounded, and the rest of us are just amazed that we have been so blind for so long. This book needs to be read and analyzed, and then, have someone take the bull by the horns and get rid of these criminals.

Just more jibberish by a radical. The sad part about these writings, many people think because it is in book form written by a seemingly educated person - it must be true. That's how so much of this hate has been pasted along. It's sad and very scarey.

Prosecutors, Congress and DOJ: Where are You?

VB tells it like it is/was. He points out all our errors. The media, congress, most citizens for doing nothing in the face of the greatest hoax on America ever. Now with this book America waits for the people we have elected to bring to Justice the most damaging, criminal President of our History. People unite! This can never happen again!

Very Sad

After reading this book, I can't help but disagree with the entire premise of this book. I found it very well documented and researched, but deeply flawed. From the beginning the Author make his intent clear, and is blinded by many of the facts he uses that could be used to make the exact opposite case. It is just another one of those books, that if you hate this current President, then you will agree with the author. If we were to agree with the premise that this author uses, then every president before this one would have to be placed on trial as well.

A Must Read

I am in the process of reading this book. I cried for two chapters. Everyone says Bush has Lied Us into this Illegal War. This Author has decided to not just say it and go on as if nothing has happen, he proposes what to do, about Bushes Lies. For me this is what should be done. This has been the Worst Administration in my life time. I had to change from Republican to Independent in 2006 because I could not stand the deception any longer. I voted for Bush twice and now cry for the lives that have been lost because of Bushes deceit. If you yearn for Truth this is a book you need to read.
