    Read this book along with books that offer another point of view

    Dr. Marks provides a good overview of prostate cancer and its treatment options. But....he does have a point of view that clearly advocates aggressive treatment.

    Current research reveals that many men receive overtreatment for prostate cancer. Many men receive aggressive treatment, who would not die from the disease. Make sure that if you read this book, that you also balance out your reading list with an alternative point of view.

    Primer for prostate cancer patients

    Recommended by Urologist to be able to ask questions and understand prostate cancer. We found it illuminating and easy to understand. It eased our fears.

    This is the one to get...

    My elderly Dad was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and after doing a great deal of research, I ordered 4 different books for him and my Mom, and they both said that this one is the best one of all, and they found it to be so helpful and most important, the easiest to read and understand - if you only get one book, get this one, and be sure to get the 6/30/2009 version, which has info. on more current treatments.
