Overview

Book 1 in The Angelini series.

For Skye Delano, the hunt and the kill are sometimes inexorably tied together.

Her origins shrouded behind an impenetrable wall of mental pain, Skye has survived and evolved into a tracker, a hunter who metes out justice to those who prey on the helpless. Alone but not lonely, she's been content with her life. But now her body is changing and there's an underlying craving that's left her restless. She needs to take a mate-or rather, two mates...

Detective Rico Santana wants and needs Skye-for himself, and to track a couple of kids who have gone missing.

In all the centuries that Giovanni Banderali has been alive, he's never desired any woman enough to bind her to him as a companion. That changed the moment he saw Skye. She's a threat to the fledgling vampires he's searching for, but nothing will stop him from claiming her-not even the Angelini blood that flows through her veins.

Adversaries, natural enemies-dangerous allies-the bond that links them is stronger than lust, more powerful than love. When an Angelini chooses a mate, no man can resist.

First of all regarding the Product Description listed on bn.com.... Book 1 in The Angelini series. For Skye Delano, the hunt and the kill are sometimes inexorably tied together. Her origins shrouded behind an impenetrable wall of mental pain, Skye has survived and evolved into a tracker, a hunter who metes out justice to those who prey on the helpless........Nope, wrong product description. Correct Description: Mikaela Laughlin discovers a whole new world, and an entirely new species, when she tours the crime lab to meet Lieutenant Diarmid Redwolf while researching her next book. She's lusted after "Delicious Diarmid" from afar for a long time, but meeting him sets her body on fire. It doesn't take long for Mikaela to discover there's more to him than meets the eye. Diarmid is far more delicious up close than she ever dreamed. Diarmid has bad guys to catch, but one look at the voluptuous writer has him wanting to catch her instead. His shapeshifter blood recognizes his True Mate and he wants her naked body arching beneath his. But with a cold-blooded serial killer on the loose, Diarmid has one shot at his future and he will not fail. Because this time, the killer wants Mikaela. ......Unfortunately, it was still a badly written paranormal erotica story. Within the first 10 pages (24 hours in the story), the main characters fell in love, mated each other, met the family, and planned a wedding. Yuck!!! Around page twelve they started talking about health insurance and qualifying for a home mortgage. I don't want to read a romance that deals with HEALTH Insurance, that's why I watch CNN. This story was extremely ill paced. It went too quickly, and the characters were not or could not be development. I read erotica, that is why I chose this book, and there were a lot of explicit sex scenes. But, that was it. In all fairness, I did not read the entire book, more than half way into reading, I could not take the dialogue any longer. So maybe it got better, but I doubt it.
